Hello, my name is Kingcoffee and I'm a former Rather Ripped basher. I've been bashing Rather Ripped for about a month or so. But hopefully with the help of Jesus Christ, my personal Lord and Savior and the help of the members of Rather Ripped Bashers Anonymous, I hope to overcome this terrible spiritual affliction. Let me tell you a little bit about myself. I was born a blind, black gay pseudo-transsexual who had underdeveloped genitals. I grew up in the poor section of Asspen. I tried to hide my pain by ripping on Rather Ripped. But one day, after removing the stick that was up my ass, I realized that Rather Ripped should not be ripped on. I saw that it was a good, lovely and decent album that didn't suck. Truth be told, it's not my favorite Sonic Youth album. It doesn't even make it in my top ten SY records. But it's still good. Not as good as most of their others and in my opinion not as good as their other recent releases, but still good. To me, it comes across as a bit unispired and listless, but certainly not horrible. Just not quite as good as a lot of their other albums. But I would certainly take Rather Ripped over 99.9% of the other rock labums that have come out over the past decade or so. So, in summation Rather Ripped is a good album but a little flawed. Still makes for a good listen, though. Just not one of my favorites and never will be.

if you don't like rather ripped, you shouldn't post on this message board and you shouldn't be a sonic youth fan. everyone has to like every album that sonic youth puts out in order to be a true fan.

rather ripped is so shitty, man. why can't sonic youth just play their old songs? they were so good in the 80s, why do they have to suck now? it's like they're sucking just to piss me off.
