It's a shame you're not on faecbook any more Martin, Julián has been on a role lately finding Thurston tracks that i had no clue existed.

^^^ These weren't released this year.

I'm waiting to see what other goodies he finds today :D

Re Facebook: right then, (re)signing up now. I guess there's no escape anymore - privacy really is dead.

If I recall correctly "I Don't Think The Dirt Belongs To The Grass" compilation is pretty old - 2005 or 2006? I'm pretty sure I have a good rip of the original CDs gathering digital dust on one of my hard drives.

And "You've Got Your Orders" is dirt cheap on Discogs last time I looked.

hipster_bebop_junkie 09.09.2011 02:25 PM

I thought i had posted all of those links here in the board as well. I guess I got distracted, or something.

stu666, thanks for the heads-up on that release. I love Body/Head.

Some other releases that i think haven't been mentioned in this thread:

Gracias!

While you're at the site, may I recommend checking out the Love Cult tape that they have listed.

hipster_bebop_junkie 11.07.2011 06:59 PM

Ordered. Thanks for the heads-up!

Not yet, but everything I order seems take at least three weeks to arrive these days, so I'm not too bothered.

Ok I wont start to worry yet then, I just thought seeing as these were coming from London that we'd have them by now...

hipster_bebop_junkie 11.16.2011 01:52 PM

I also ordered a copy of that tape. Haven't even had confirmation that my order has shipped, only received an e-mail saying my purchase is "pending", and that they'll send another one once the order "clears". That was a week ago. Since it's a very small label, I guess it's reasonable to think that all operations should work a bit slow in comparison with some others, and I'll need to have some patience.

stu666 11.19.2011 04:54 AM

Mine arrived today!

did anybody get this? is it songs, improv, noise, musique concrete, or boogie?
bedroom tapes of T trying to learn Led Zep from instructional videos?

I haven't even had confirmation that my order has been received and processed, let alone shipping. Glad you got your copy, though. Is there a relation between "Love Lion As A Poem" (side B) and the "Lion" poetry book recently released by Bottle Of Smoke press? Since the tape is mostly a vocal experiment apparently, I thought it might be possible. Anyway, just curious. Hopefully I'll have both objects soon to get rid of the doubt.

Don't worry about that, I think the label just doesn't do any kind of confirmations. Mine arrived okay too (although it did have a lot less distance to travel!)

I thought the one and only e-mail I got from them seemed a bit vague, but now your post and stu's are quite reassuring to me. Thanks to both of you. :)

I don't think there has been mention of this one in this thread:

DAVID AMRAM POETRY JAM

David Amram jams with contemporary poets from New York to Kentucky as he has done since 1957 when he performed with Jack Kerouac in New York City’s first-ever jazz & poetry readings.

Includes participation by Casey Cyr, Steve Dalachinsky, Albert Kausch, Rich Martin, Lee Ranaldo, Ron Whitehead...

hipster_bebop_junkie 12.31.2011 08:18 PM

Another one from 2011 that I don't think was mentioned around here: Kieran McGee's "The Golden Age Of Paranoia", with participation by Steve Shelley on the drums:

Looking forward to all things Sonic Youth-related 2012 will surely have to offer.
