Post Your Very First Recordings

I'm sure there's been a thread or two about this before. But, there are some really good recording artists who post on this board. & I think it would be interesting to hear how they sounded when they first got to work.
I'll start us off. These are my very fisrt recordings using a 4-track, & the first time recording myself. & seeing as how I had to do the actual, so-called, pressing of the button, & record all of the instruments myself. & mix the damn thing. I'd say I did o.k. But mind you, they are demos through & through.

Let me know what you think. & don't forget this thread is for everyone's music.

So, is anyone gonna post their early recordings? If not, at least listen to mine & tell me what you think. Damn, I thought that this would be a cool enough thread, for everyone.

shentov 03.23.2006 08:43 AM

i should upload some shit from my early punk period band. but later.
check my latest stuff on the other thread.

marleypumpkin 03.23.2006 08:49 AM

I wish I could shentov, but the sound card for my PC is fucked up & I can't listen to anything on my computer. Please say you'll listen to my stuff. Won't you?

shentov 03.23.2006 08:51 AM

yuck. go repair that computer. i'm going to take a listen later. now i am at work.

Savage Clone 03.23.2006 08:53 AM

I would, but they are on cassette and I have no transference technology here.
I can post earliest stuff I have on CD, maybe later.

marleypumpkin 03.23.2006 08:54 AM

Thanks for listening shentov.

I know, this computer is a piece of shit. I wish I could repair it, but I have no Idea where to go to get it fixed. & I'm pretty sure it would be expensive.

Shit, that's what these recordings were on originally. But, I got lucky & found a way to get them uploaded. Have you listened to my recordings Savage Clone?

marleypumpkin 03.23.2006 11:12 AM

So, I guess I'm the only one who had the guts to post early recordings. I know Lee & Thurston would post their stuff. & listen to my stuff. (I wish)

marleypumpkin 03.23.2006 12:01 PM

Please remember to post any comments you have on what you hear through this thread. Thank You

maryleypumpkin when i click on your link i just get a page saying this-

Warning: mysql_connect() [function.mysql-connect]: Lost connection to MySQL server during query in /usr/local/www/virtual/www.badongo.com/include/mysql.php on line 16
No access to Server

not sure why though,

Everyneurotic 03.23.2006 02:47 PM

i have a cassette of my first "band" which was just me and a drummer playing "metal" (we strived for it but never achieved it, we were so dumb i didn't know how to turn on the distorion on my amp)

i had some mp3s of my former band at iuma but iuma seems to be down or something, i'll upload them latter

SpectralJulianIsNotDead 03.23.2006 02:53 PM

I think I might have taped over them. I'll go look in my room for my tapes.

saoq 03.23.2006 04:02 PM

-marleypumpkin, i get a no access to server error page when i click yr stuff.

i just uploaded a snippet of the earliest recording i have, this is made in 1997 or so -i was in highschool. basically it's feedback and Shortwave static and start-stop tape action. it's the one named OLD DRONE
link: http://www.buzzmusic.de/index.php?id...ils&userid=463

the whole thing was 30 mins long. I remember being quite proud after finishing it - i still am in a way.

marleypumpkin 03.23.2006 10:27 PM

I just clicked on the links I posted & they worked fine for me. Please try again, & if it still doesn't work, I'll make a new link.
