(edging its way towards album of the 1/2 year) |
|
^ greatgreatgreat album.

Yeah. I'd have trouble picking between this, Never Mind the Bollocks, or Singles Going Steady for the best of that genre later. I can't include later Clash when they got into more reggae.
|
y'know, i haven't listened to never mind the bollocks in ages... i think i will now.

I like reggae Clash a lot. |

I have to revisit it once ever couple of months or so, even after I took a course on the birth and first wave of British punk about a year and half ago. |
yeah, i'm not sure why i don't listen to bollocks nowadays. when i first heard the pistols, i loved them... i really didn't listen to any punk then, so they were my intro, i guess. in freshman year, i'd come home and listen to "god save the queen" fifty bazillion times just to hear the 'NOOOOOOOOOO FUUUUUUUUUUTURE' part. but i went off them in a big way... meh. now that i hear nmtb again, i'm likin' it.
/pointless anecdote! i think i'd still go for the clash's debut, as far as british '77-style punk goes. |
I got into the them the same time (except for Anarchy in the UK, I'd been jamming that for years), along with the Ramones, the Clash, and The VU.
