Bluebottle Kiss - You put out the fire |
thanks! rad album it is.
is that woody guthrie in your avatar? |
Sure is.
|
i was listenin to 'the early years' by woody earlier. i think he was really inavative in the realm of folk music. both bob dylan, and beck borrowed his lyrics and stuff. i don't like his voice as much as leadbelly's. but he's a good man
|
Yeah, Dylan was a huge fan of Woody, and apparently friend when Woody was hospitalised. I had an earlier photo of Woody where on his acoustic is written: "This Machine Kills Fascists". But it didn't read real well in this avatar. He was definitely inavative - I couldn't imagine their to be a folk musician out there who didn't/doesn't respect Woody Guthrie. I also really like Leadbelly, too... and Beck. But I love Dylan, so much I have Dylan ink.

Woah. K.T. Tunstall just played on Leno 10 seconds after I read that, and she had that written on her guitar. That was pretty trippy. Completely confused me for a minute.
EDIT: I think this was my 666th post. |
HAHA. We don't get much Leno over here, unless it's late at night. So I assure you, it was merely coincidence... and obviously K.T Tunstall's liking for Mr Guthrie.
|

I put on xilinsupreme's 'murder license' this morning.Funny how they are the only band who can be testified to have taken the Jesus and Mary Chain's early-days sound to new extremes. If anyone has named a song better than'All you need is love was not true' in the entire world i'm a dead man.Oh,and they are from Japan.

Listening to The Dark Spot by Kousokuya and Masayoshi Urabe |
Quote:
Yeh they're quite good. Like Wolf Eyes meets screamo hardcore stuff like La Quite/Funeral Diner with loads of intensity. Apparently they have just been totally destroying every audience they play to on this tour. Band they are playing with Battleship are really good as well. Listening to Black Flag- Whos got the 10 1/2 now |
