Tried to find music by a band named Penus and instead ended up with all kind of links I wasn't looking for :p
So I settled instead for two EPs of Dark Dark Dark, followed by two albums of Anonymous Choir, their first album aptly named II and the 2015 edition of their Leonard Cohen covers. Good stuff for a drowsy Saturday afternoon. |

It's pasta cooking good! |
Their sophomore album. Dropped in June apparently, I had no clue. Loved their first outing and so far I'm digging this as well. |

When howling doesn't work
An experimental classical composition involving two labradors! This comes from a Dutch TV show that has been on TV for 30 years on Sunday mornings and will sadly cease to exist  It showed all kind of different music, classical, jazz, world music, experimental . Often not my kind, but often also amazing. Some name dropping from the world music category for you to find out from artists in countries you have never heard of: Trang Ang Flowers Group, Sona Jobareh, Woodabe Peul, Hanggai, Huun-Huur-Tu, Souer Marie Keyrouz. Many years ago, there was a classical piece with two double basses that was so amazing that I bought a CD of it, and then lost it again. It might have been Bach. Hope I can recall what piece it was ... |

Yeah, this band is great! I actually successfully got some people into Sem Bênção/Sem Crença this year by playing “Escola das Ruas” for them. I also missed the release of Romã initially. I thought all they released this year was an EP until probably end of the summer. Good stuff, man. |
“You just spread some reputation around before giving it to Antagonize again”
What a silly rule. Imagine if social media limited likes |

Yeah, agreed. Can't rep you for spreading the word about that gem of a band either. Just know that I tried. Cheers. |
Drawing crude expressionistic morosities again. Goes together quite well. Bauhaus's second album "Mask" used to be my go-to for that. I feel like Egrets just might have crafted some sort of spiritual successor to Mask with their debut.

Couldn't resist the double-feature. |

By clicking on "likes" on social media? Fuhgeddaboudit. I started to do that once and I could feel my brain starting to melt. The passage of time is flicking dimly upon the screen; I can't see the lines I used to think I could read between. Perhaps my brains have turned to sand. Several times I've seen the evening slide away. Watching the signs taking over from the fading day. Perhaps my brains are old and scrambled... |

Underrated and overlooked Post-Punk gem. |
Ground control to Major Tom ... but that will be next in line, as a matter of fact, as I'm typing these I realise that I haven't listened to this in ages. Shame on me |
Black Country, New Road - Sunglasses Been listening to this particular song time and time again since summer. To me, one of the absolute standout tracks of this year. Don't know if there's an album in the works, but if there is, I'm really looking forward to it. |

Here are a bunch more Bowie tunes recorded for the BBC during 1970-72 (the Ziggy era): https://youtu.be/owMDQNFwH98 These are mostly unreleased. Lord knows why, epic stuff!! |
Courtney Barnett - MTV Unplugged (Live In Melbourne)
she's really cool! and she did an album with kurt vile in 2017! |

AAAAH, finally someone who loves this band as much as I do! As far as I know, they only have 2 songs out but there's going to be an album out soon. Sunglasses is a masterpiece though, so complex and twisted and full of various ideas. Plus, I like their frontman, he's got this Ian Curtis-like self-destructive energy in himself. |
This week I've been listening to some Slovakian newschool rap - like this one:
