that's cool I guess. I just googled his name and the band and there it is. He actually mentions the album I posted being in his top 10 of all time. Haha. I found them merely by listening to a somewhat similar band called Los Lobos.. and I'm not all that familiar with it yet so I think it's best to listen for yourself. I'm blown away by it so far. I've never heard anything like it... profound abundance of styles... and one of the weirdest albums I've heard recently. It has a latin vibe to it, so... I wouldn't necessarily assume that many people here are into this stuff. Check it out for yourself. Speaking of Buzz, The Melvins kick absolute ass. I was listening to Bullhead a few days ago. Numerous coincidences here.

nothing beats that dark vibe of 90's hip-hop. the prod used to be as minimal as it gets, yet so powerful..
and no one controls the mic better than Big. the flows, lyrics, etc are all perfect here. 10/10

Biggie + Kast = a good day.

People, you're still not doing a good job of identifying the albums! Again, if there's no identification on the cover of the band and album title, you NEED to type that in your message.

How many times do I have to remind you about this?

keep poppin pimples 03.15.2012 01:54 PM

aquemini rules, my friend says it sucks compared to atliens and i was pretty furious. though i may like atliens a little more, maybe

gmku 03.15.2012 02:10 PM

Also, a little description of what it is, or what it is like, would be helpful.

gmku 03.15.2012 02:10 PM

I have to assume this is a boot?

I don't have any Thin Lizzy. I'd get some, but I took a solemn oath to buy nothing released before 1980 this year.

I've been practicing monogamy in my listening habits of late. Discovering new trails is grand but there's nothing quite like covering the same territory over and over again.

Every time I play Going Blank Again I hear something different.

louder 03.15.2012 07:17 PM

listening to the Danzig album atm.

vibin' to it.

not sure, but I'm done with this nonsense

and the joy division peel sessions, I don't feel like posting an image for it. I was also watching a video of John Cage performing a song using a bathtub, blender with an ice cube inside, and other objects you'd expect most houses to contain.

gmku 03.15.2012 07:28 PM

What's the Wire thing?

Love the JD peel sessions, btw.

i think their live recordings are way better than their studio ones.. they had a lot more energy.

Murmer99 03.15.2012 07:38 PM

have you ever listened to them? if not then do so. My favorite is 154, but I don't think they've released a bad record. I wouldn't start out with the one I just posted.

the peel sessions really are amazing too. My favorite JD songs are on it (neither appear on any of their studio albums) Transmission and Exercise One

EDIT - directed to gmku. You can blame louder

gmku 03.15.2012 07:41 PM

Oh yes! I have the first 3 albums, all great! I used to have A Cup is a Bell... but traded it for some crazy reason.

louder 03.15.2012 07:47 PM

yeah Wire has one of the best album trilogies ever.

Mannequin never fails to makes me dance like an idiot.

Murmer99 03.15.2012 07:47 PM

you mean a bell is a cup, ha... yeah the first 3 are the best I guess. I've never been too fond of pink flag... it's good but a bit overrated considering how much better the following two are. Is it common for people to trade really good albums away for nothing? I seem to know many people who have done so numerous times..

I just remember feeling disappointed. I wanted something like one of the first three albums. I didn't appreciate it at the time.
