what you think about Yo La Tengo - The Sound of the Sounds of Science ?
 

I don't know what to think about this album..
when I put it in cd player, and Sea Urchins begins,
I like it. and when I'm trying to listen whole album
track after track I'm probably getting bored.

yeah it's kinda boring, really; although i like Yo la .

I get kind of bored as I do with Made In USA, but individually the tracks are pretty cool.

Havent heard it in years. But I remember liking it.

I really love the album just for the atmospheric sound of it all, it's great to actually see the film and hear the music.

Yo La Tengo have alway been boring haven't they ?

And no, Yo La Tengo are far from boring on some releases. I Can Hear the Heart Beating as One is one of the most interesting, varied pop albums of the last twenty-five years.

They have one good record in my mind, and all of you know which one I'm talking about.

yo la tengo's catalog is like 70 percent boring, but once in a while between all thie rpointless jam sessions, there will be some sort of brilliant music. "i can hear the heart beating as one" is pretty perfect throughout. but overall, yeah, theyre boring as fuck.

75% of I Can Hear The Heart is some of the greatest music ever to me. Seriously, why can't they be consistent in the quality department? Surely they must have realised they were onto something with that album and keep with it's formula...

I think so but everyone has different tastes. Maybe not worth $45.00 plus whatever shipping is to poland.

someone said stick to the formula, i think sticking to the formula gets you hooked on some bad shit man (meatus). You've got to progress. I love fakebook but if they hadn't evolved to electropura eventually i would hate them. Painful to Hearts. Now. Beyond that i'm not too confident with them and you wanna know why? It's because they have been sticking to the Hearts formula since it came out. The last three albums have all sounded alot alike, with the exception of the eps. Every little 5 song Ep that comes out of theirs is always just splendid. Today is the Day??!!! yeah.

As for the sounds of the sounds of science. It's good sleeping music. But it does drag a bit. Put it in the context of its purpose and its fricking awesome
