Yeah, it rules balls.

I've known for a little while now (They even teased it when Blue Album Deluxe came out years ago), I am very excited, considering:

1)The record kicks ass
2)B-Sides kick ass
3)We've been waiting to hear the two unreleased b-sides forever
4)Apparently there's crazy stuff nobody's even heard of that will be on it

It will definitely be excellent.

by far my favorite Weezer album. By far.

Jeremy 11.22.2009 12:07 AM

Pinkerton is my favorite too (Seems to be universal around here), but I love the Blue Album a whole lot as well. Everything after that is pretty hit or miss. Raditude was just awful.

Pinkerton is the only one I have any significant interest in. A fantastic album from a fairly mediocre band.

loubarret 11.22.2009 06:58 AM

OMG...

This brings back memories of 12 year old Lou listing to Pinkerton nearly daily(something he did since he was 10). It's such a great album still, I love every note on it and finnaly the deluxe is going to come!

The Earl Of Slander 11.22.2009 11:37 AM

This is one of those classic albums I've always intended to check out, but have never gotten around to actually hearing, aside from one or two (awesome) tracks on Youtube. I will be using this deluxe edition as an exuse to finally dive in...

dazedcola 11.22.2009 02:48 PM

This almost makes up for raditude.......almost

StevOK 11.22.2009 09:06 PM

I can't wait!

don't forget the first one. i agree that nowdays the band is mediocre...no, today they suck big time

joetee316 11.23.2009 11:03 AM

Didn't know this was out. I have to look into this when I get home from work. I prefer the Blue Album though... and Ihave the deluxe version of that one.

I'm aware that a first album exists, yes. However, I don't find it more than moderately acceptable. Weezer is for those who are too stoned to look for more interesting music. Even the songs they sing now remind me of the songs off of the other albums. Pinkerton just lacked any extremely piss-poor songs, something no other Weezer release can say for itself. It's also got some fucking BEAUTIFUL songs. Straight up fucking fantastic album.

But the first one? Doo doo.

HaydenAsche 11.23.2009 03:31 PM

Although, I will say that the Blue Album did have some fairly decent tracks/demos on the bonus disc.

Jeremy 11.23.2009 11:04 PM

World Has Turned And Left Me Here? Only In Dreams? Holiday? No One Else? Say It Ain't So? None of those, in addition to the rest of the record, are good, or at least decent enough to say it's better than "doo doo"?

Suzanne is even on the Deluxe Edition and that song is a whole lot better than "fairly decent" I think.

They used to be a fucking awesome band.

I approve of this. Weezer died when matt sharp left, and they werent' revolutionary or anything by any means but they wrote some great pop/rock/noise pop songs in their early days...

Across the Sea is genius...

Nice weird chords/chord changes and melodies and ideas all over pinkerton...

I must disagree about these songs.

Across the Sea is a definite ++++.

I have been loving Devotion and You Gave Your Love To Me Softly recently.
