Favorite 60's drummer?

I'll probaby be the only one posting here since no one likes me, or my threads, but I don't give a damn. I felt this subject should be discussed.
Mine, Mitch Mitchell. The man is a genius at whatever style drumming you can think of. Jazz, rock, blues, anything. Well, if you feel like answering, go ahead.

John Violence 03.28.2006 10:51 PM

HaydenAsche 03.28.2006 10:51 PM

Keith Moon, definetly a great drummer. I do think Ringo is underrated though.
I always loved that double bass sound that he would make w/ his floor tom.
I'm glad to see someone agrees w/ me on Mitch Mitchell.

Your the best marley how could you say that.

marleypumpkin 03.29.2006 12:31 AM

I don't know. People always rip on me for spamming, & shit like that. But all I want to do on this forum is give people good music, talk to them about good music, & occasionally, post my music. Is there something wrong w/ me for wanting to do so?

sellouteater 03.29.2006 12:46 AM

Hell no!!!!!!

marleypumpkin 03.29.2006 12:49 AM

Thanks sellouteater. I'm glad I have some people on my side. Jah Bless

John Bonham, and yes he is God:D....but I still consider him 70's.

marleypumpkin 03.29.2006 02:20 AM

Give us a list of your favorites Krastian.

krastian 03.29.2006 02:21 AM

My tops have been mentioned on this thread.....EXCEPT Ginger Fucking Baker.

krastian 03.29.2006 02:22 AM

Ok:D

Top 3

1. John Densmore
2. Keith Moon
3. Ginger Baker

But that's just me.....60's that is.

marleypumpkin 03.29.2006 02:28 AM

John Bohnam is definetly 70's. Although LZ had their first album in '69, John really didn't show his true talents until the 70's. if that makes sense

krastian 03.29.2006 02:46 AM

Yeah....but Boham was on fucking point on Zeppelin I (nasty and aggressive).....he's def. may favorite ever.

marleypumpkin 03.29.2006 02:51 AM

Bohnam invented the double bass, w/out having the double bass pedal. But then again, Mitch Mitchell wasn't far behind in that category.

krastian 03.29.2006 02:57 AM

Well, actually I always thought Ginger Baker to be the founder of the double bass (he had 2 bass drums). But yeah, Bonham could do the sickest triplets and shit....especially for the 70's for fucks sake.

marleypumpkin 03.29.2006 02:58 AM

So many drummers, so little time.
