sister demos + 1995 show

hi,
i heard lee mention 2 archival "projects".
one were sister demos
other one was a show from 1995.

his "pop" record is coming out jan/feb i heard as well.. don't know how known this all is..

but, if anyone has more info on the archival projects, i'd be curious to hear! (sister deluxe ? or just another more archival syr release?) -- same about the '95 show? could it be the dusseldorf one? (which is really really good, but also very known)

noisereductions 10.04.2011 07:13 AM

where did you heard this?

wim 10.04.2011 08:54 AM

radio interview yesterday evening

if that's true then I'm thrilled. A Sister reissue would be killer. I guess it's not terribly surprising since they revisited Master-Dik not that long ago. I wonder what else would be part of the reissue other than the demos. I suppose the "PCH/Cotton Crown" live single and Master-Dik could be included, along with some of those Whitey b-sides like "****" or maybe the Lucky Sperms single? Hmmm.

As far as live show from 1995. That's interesting too. Yr probably right about Dusseldorf. I mean, it's one of their shows that's shown up on many different boots. And it is a good sounding show.

geez...thye weren't fine just doing the 26 minute version?

Chris Lawrence 10.04.2011 02:21 PM

you sure he didn't say 1985?

wim 10.04.2011 02:48 PM

i believe he said ninety five (not nineteen ninety five) . i've noticed dusseldorf is from '96. and a live recording from '85 would be more logical if they release demos from '86?/'87.

could even be a small mix up from his part.. why would you think its '85? :)

EvdWee 10.04.2011 03:12 PM

he says: nineteen eighty five

as far as i can hear.

noisereductions 10.04.2011 03:40 PM

The first disc is taken from the October 30th, 1985 University of London show, with Steve on drums -- except "Blood on Brighton Beach" from November 8th, 1985 at Brighton Beach. Disc two is from April 28th, 1985 @ Hammersmith Palais in London, with Bert on drums.

ha, it's the same year but not same word :)

RanaldoNecro 10.04.2011 08:13 PM

hello 2015

Chris Lawrence 10.05.2011 01:26 AM

i believe i saw a specific show mentioned for reissue in a recent-ish interview? (being coy in case it wasn't as specific as i remember!)

SonicBebs 10.05.2011 07:28 AM

what year was Hold That Tiger?
while i'm all for more live releases i'd rather one from another era

earlier or even better, later ('95 sounds pretty good to me)

There was talk about releasing a show from '85 not too far back. And with the resurgence of BMR material in the most recent setlist...

Very curious/excited to see Lee open for Wild Flag this month, with the impending solo wreck-hard.
