Rain On Tin Question
 

This is my first post here and frankly I'm worried I might be delusional but I have to ask this question- I know Rain on Tin is about the WTC attack, but is it an actual account of the attack? From the first time I heard it the bit that begins around 3:05 has put an image in my head of jets taking off. There's more but tell me, am I right or should I up the dosage?

Bulk of the music was written a couple years before 9/11.

"Rain on Tin" specifically was actually a solo Thurston instrumental acoustic track released as "Alter Boy, Church Basement" as part of the Hurricane Floyd disc prior to Murray St. and 9/11.

Isn't it supposed to be about all their NY friends coming to stay with them in the aftermath of 9/11

Uhhh Thurston wrote the lyrics during that incident or something like that no?
