Mark E Smith agrees with Col Gaddafi about rioters
 

Well, he's been out of his mind for a while now.

paying attention to this makes less sense then paying attention to all the noise going on in the GOP primaries..

We all know that Gaddafi was both insane, and yet he was very much correct that clearly the CIA had a hand in this uprising, as they often do, after all, what doesn't the CIA get involved with?

I dunno suchfriends, most of us occasionally pay attention to things we ought not to really pay attention to. This particular statement by MES caught my eye because on another recent interview he seemed to make sweeping generalisations about the looks of deprived people simply because the interview itself was conducted in some swanky Manchester establishment. Anyway, he is MES and what goes with it.*

*Vast amounts of alcohol, I'm assuming.

He's stirring things up. See also this excellent interview where, near the end, the writer quite diplomatically states that "Smith is growing increasingly truculent and irascible. We’re both a bit drunk by now, and he says a few ugly things which are maybe intended as a bit of idle provocation"

And to be fair it's only to do with one statement that Gaddafi made which happens to tie in with the point Smith is making, hardly his entire philosophy.
