When you going to be in the Boston/Western Mass area? I'm in the middle in Worcester MA. Let me know and I'll check out the local stuff. Boston usually has something going most any night and the hippies out in Northhampton usually have festivals art and music going off and on.

are you going to the Wilco festival in North Adams? Nels Cline SIngers are playing and if that isn't enough they will have a show of WILCO tour posters!

while in NYC, the best rekkid stores right now are Academy and Recordgrump and Sound Fix in Williamsburg (there's also an ESP Disc store further out I haven't ben to). But the Academy in Manhattan is good too esp for old jazz and you should check out Kims, Gimme Gimme Gimme, OM and the legendary Downtown Music Gallery(best for contemporary jazz and prog) which is located in a part of Manhattan that hasn't changed in 100 years except the signs are in Chinese now not Italian or HEbrew.

I scored a clean copy of Decline of Western Civilization for $20 at Acadmey W'burg a few weeks back, about time I replaced the cassette I recorded from my buddy back in high school nearly 30 years ago crimony, his stepdad was/is an ass who wouldn't let him buy records so he used to have say he was borrowing his own records from me.

And please, as a favor to me, while in the East Village, don't do smack and nod out on the street like the vegetables I see regularly these days nodded out.
