Hey, this may sound weird but please hear me out.
I haven't done any bootleg shits in a wile on account of guilt and also letters threatening legal action from labels/studios sent to my internet provider (which passed them along to me) regarding past downloads.... but... has anyone ever run into soundboard quality recordings of Kanye West shows from the past few years? When I saw him last fall, there was definitely a professional recording crew and film crew documenting the whole glorious event, but I've heard not even a faint whisper of anything concert films or music sing released. I don't fuck with Dimeadozen... UNLESS there's Kanye shows. Eh? What about elsewhere? Kanye shows? High quality recordings? Anyone? EDIT: I guess I did fuck with DAD, because I have a DAD account. Random memory loss is not super encouraging. Still, a quick search revealed only 15 active torrents in the entire hip-hop genre. Whaaaa? For real? |

Regarding hip-hop torrents, in Dimeadozen it's a colossal mistake to search for genre; there are currently 44 torrents under "skiffle" (yes, SKIFFLE) and not a single fuckin' one of them has anything to do with what Lonnie Donegan popularized. Also check out the 18 "dancefloor" torrents which are on the tracker right now: you think Robert Fripp and The Sundays belong there? (Some Sonic Youth torrents have been uploaded under "dancefloor" as well, which I find pretty swingin'). Finally, the relevance of a torrent being "active" is hugely relative; you may pick one and stay at 0% for days, but most likely you'll get it if you post a comment on the torrent's page thread politely requesting some more seeding action, or you do the same on bt-dimeadozen-org, or in a private message to somebody who completed it or to the uploader themselves. OR, you won't have to do a goddamn thing, as a lot of people use Vuze, which enables them to monitor the leeching of more torrents than allowed by Dime and therefore can spot you there trying to get it like a little bitch, and start seeding like a motherfucker. |
