favorite black sabbath album
what sabbath album is your favorite? it's alright if you really like post dio sabbath. sabbath fans won't hurt you.
mine is children of the grave is most of the reason why it is my favorite. 2nd best rock song ever (ready to fight still being the first). |
Master of Reality is their masterpiece. All of the first four or five are awesome, but Master of Reality is absolutely flawless.
|
LOVE IT My favorite sabbath album is the first one. |
I agree, Iagree ..Vol.4 hs got some really Killer Cuts!!!
|
The first one, easy.

AGREED...master of reality is thier best....my favorite one to get stoned to is Volume 4 though, i love it....except for Changes |
come on kleatherneck, changes makes us cry. we can take it.
|
Oh my child of love's creation, come and step inside my dreams
In your eyes I see no sadness, you are all that loving means Take my hand and we'll go riding through the sunshine from above We'll find happiness together in the summer skies of love |
Paranoid.
|
Nobody will ever let you know
When you ask the reasons why They just tell you that you're on your own Fill your head all full of lies |

duh-du-duh-du-duh duh-du-duh-du-duh duh-duh-duh-du-duh.... equals hardest guitar intro ever |
I only have Paranoid. It's quite good.

Vol. 4 and Masters of Reality and the first self-titled one should go on your list of albums/CD's to track down at the used CD places man. You can almost always find them! rock on! children of the GRAVE!!!! |
First one hands down.
|
hmmm, tough one, i'd say vol. 4 but then again it has "changes" so...fuck, i'll go with paranoid, "fairies wear boots", "electric funeral", "war pigs", "planet caravan".
the most rewarding one, though, is sabbath bloody sabbath, so that's probably their best. |
self titled, paranoid, and sold our soul for rock n roll comp, and sabbath bloody sabbath, fuck i duno theyre all great. their one of the best bands in the fucking existence of rock n roll, responsible for heavy metal, and completley responsible for doom/drone metal. shit, bands that start up till this day that like playing heavy and slooooooow cite sabbath as an influence. my dad was saying when he was 14 and he first heard them, like 72 or some shit, none of his friends could even comprehend how scary they sounded when they were stoned. i think thats rad.
|
you just reminded me!!!! my mom got me into black sabbath.
|
black sabbath
|
my dad and mom both got me into sabbath.
|
Sabbath Bloody Sabbath has kind of annoying production.
Also, I have said before that the song itself would rule so hard if they just took out that stoopid fucking major-shift break ("They just tell you that you're on yoooour ooownn......"). Way to sap up the evil, guys. 3/4 of that song is so undeniably killer though. What a waste of rock potential. Like watching a star pupil turn into a junky on skid row. |

Thank God we disagree! Or maybe the other guy in this case. I'd try to start a genuine argument, but that's probably my runner up, so it wouldn't sound very genuine. |
The 1st four albums are so amazingly killer!! I can't pick one.
I can't trust someones taste in music if they aren't into Sabbath. |
even dio sabbath?
|
Easily the first one for me too.

How bout this for a question: Black Sabbath's Heaven and Hell or Dio's Holy Diver? |
Quote:
heaven and hell that is my favorite dio era sabbath. neon knights is an amazing song. |
savage clone
I love 100% of that song (sabbath bloody sabbath) they DO tell you that you're on yr own, and they DO fill yr head full of lies, YOU BASTARDS! |
I deny the existance of Dio era black sabbath

Easy, Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow. Talk about a singer who was on a downward spiral of quality each year! |

second that notion |
I decided recently that Paranoid is somewhere in my top ten favorite albums ever. I've been rocking it consistently since I was 14. I'm going to have to go with that by default.
it's all fucking great though. I'm going to take a shower and write a paper and listen to s/t... I'm excited. |
re: annoying production in sbs, definitely, but the music inside is fucking untouchable and the reason it took me so long to get into it.
there was a time my ex-guitar player was heavily into mob rules and i was like "yeah, it's pretty neat" but now...i involutarily cringe during many dio-era songs, some good stuff there but not that much and they really lost their personality. Quote:
yes!! when the whole heaven and hell crap came to mexico everyone kept asking if i was going and i said no, said wasn't interested and responded that i would be genuinely excited if it was a rainbow reunion. |
i made children of the grave my profile song on myspace. now i can't stop looking at my profile just to listen to that song. it's weird seeing my picture come up on my tracker so much now.
