Apparently there is a stripper in Portland that does her number with SY music:
"This is undoubtedly true. Throughout the week, almost every time I go for a drink, there's a woman taking her clothes off in the corner. But instead of the usual stripper music, she's usually doing it to Sonic Youth. Even the local beer is called Panty Dropper Ale."

There is quite a scene of "alternative" stripping in Portland, so this doesn't surprise me. A lot of classic burlesque style presentations with everything from live bands to fire, S&M, and circus acts thrown in. My friend Noah hosts a weekly Sunday night event at Dante's called Sinferno that is all about this stuff, though for a lot of that crowd I'd imagine Sonic Youth is "old hat".

Being a family man married to a former stripper who used to dance to "Total Trash", I only know about this local stuff second hand of course.
