Ashtray Navigations

The only band that works mainly with guitars that is inspiring the way i make music at the moment. The way they work on tonal frequencies is like the sky splitting in two halves. They also add such joyful enthusiasm to the whole process,i made them my band of choice when it comes to ponder on where tired old six strings may lead to.Thank you.

The look on the chappy's face as I told them how great they were at ATP was amazing. Like really embarassed and surprised that anyone saw it, let alone enjoyed it. Brilliant band indeed.

PAULYBEE2656 01.27.2007 01:42 PM

porkmarras 01.27.2007 01:45 PM

Does anyone else feel like being on a plane full of ecstatic drunks while listening to them?

The gig you tipped me off to was also a free one.Rubbing salt on the wound.

Toilet & Bowels 01.27.2007 02:20 PM

Everyneurotic 01.27.2007 03:02 PM

Managed to miss this thread somehow...their gig at the Red Rose last summer was a personal high point of 2006.

porkmarras 01.30.2007 09:59 AM

yeah, just visiting from the States. I got there in time to see all of Astral Social Club's set (his new CD is in Kim's Records Top 10 this week!)

porkmarras 01.30.2007 10:29 AM

I got there just before Ashtray Navigations started playing because the cab driver got lost due to the poor directions i had been giving him.

jon boy 01.30.2007 11:34 AM

they were pretty amazing a few weeks with astral social club and birchville cat motel. it was a very different set than the atp one or a lot of the others i saw before. it was more of a wall of sound type thing. the pa system blew under the weight of that evenings offerings.

jon boy 01.30.2007 11:37 AM

i can also reccomend to suckle the pups, its available on fencing flatworm and slippy town. i play on that cd.

porkmarras 01.30.2007 11:39 AM

Jon, your music has definately got a close connection with that of Da Navigations. It's in the way it sounds like dust erupting from the ground.

I'm playing with them soon. Is anyone on this forum actually in Brighton, and is it therefore worth my while actually promoting the gig here?
