7 inch punk

I dunno how many of you actually listen to punk, but this is an awesome site. People post different types of punk from all over the world and you can download some pretty good stuff sometimes.
So I dunno, if you're into it, check it out. You may find something you like :)

If you wanna listen before you download just click on the song name.

7 inch penis, more like it. Am I right!? Woo!

I am still wondering whether punk is actually good or not. Post-punk is definitely where it's at, for me, but these neo-punk bands like BYOP are starting to turn me on. That said, English punk is for tossers.

There is A LOT of crap punk out there. You just have to listen around and find what you like.

Danny Himself 01.08.2007 06:34 PM

Minor Threat, Black Flag and The Dead Kennedys are good.

EMMAh 01.08.2007 06:36 PM

They're basic though. Expand Danny! Expand!

Danny Himself 01.08.2007 06:39 PM

Ahh!

Malachi_Constant 01.08.2007 06:42 PM

You say "expand!", I say "contract!"

Some of punks finest

k-krack 01.08.2007 07:05 PM

^ Wooo. Without them; Minor Threat and co. probably wouldn't exist, at least not in the same way they do.
Like it says in the liner notes of Dischord 1981... "After hearing Bad Brains, we started playing everything as fast and loud as we could..."

...that's an extreme paraphrase, but it's the jist of what was said...

Bad Brains was the greatest thing that ever happened to punk in my eyes.

That's a very arguable point...

Unfortunately, they also sort of gave us nu-metal, as every band since the Deftones have been trying (unsuccessfully) to ape "Sacred Love". Listen to any Korn album and tell me I'm wrong.

Love their stuff, and learned about then in "american hardcore". I heard their reggae material is pretty bad though

krastian 01.09.2007 01:52 AM

Bad Brains are easily in my top 5 bands ever.....the new DVD rules.

krastian 01.09.2007 02:16 AM

Yes, thanks to EMMAh for posting the site. I'll give it a better look tomorrow.....I'm pretty drunk.
