'This is the first song on our new album...' check it out.

Got back a little bit ago from our practice space where we did some rough mixes for our upcoming album.
This song is called Nothing To Write Home About.
It'll probably sound better once we properly mix and master it.
Let me know what you think.

HaydenAsche 10.13.2006 08:18 AM

I'll d/l it later.

DemonBox 10.13.2006 08:28 AM

Oh, I really liked it CHOUT. A good tune. I would like to hear this live. Come play in Norway will you!

SpectralJulianIsNotDead 10.13.2006 11:15 AM

Is this going to be the album that gets you famous?

Sweet track Chout. I'm going to have to see you guys play sometime.

CHOUT 10.13.2006 04:28 PM

Famous? I doubt it...hopefully we can sell a few copies though and consign them in local stores. We're gonna send a few songs from the album to local labels and see what happens, not much probably...we're nobodies.

static-harmony 10.13.2006 04:35 PM

I really like it, I'll send you money, if you could send me a copy of the album.

static-harmony 10.13.2006 04:35 PM

I really like your stuff, it is amazing.

CHOUT 10.13.2006 09:17 PM

Thanks, I'll post when the album is finished - it'll still be a while.

silverfreepress (sdasher) 10.13.2006 10:03 PM

Cantankerous 10.13.2006 10:59 PM

static-harmony 10.13.2006 11:01 PM

Did you listen to the song? You may retract your question once you hear it...

HaydenAsche 10.13.2006 11:36 PM

Is it worth my harddrive space, CHOUT?

CHOUT 10.13.2006 11:39 PM

That's up to you, Hayden. You can just open it and listen to it without saving it...

I don't have YSI and I don't want to sing up now.

CHOUT 10.13.2006 11:46 PM

I never had to sign up for anything.

HaydenAsche 10.13.2006 11:47 PM

You do to download, man. At least, I think so. Fuck.

Badongo > YSI

CHOUT 10.13.2006 11:49 PM

I don't think you have to.

HaydenAsche 10.13.2006 11:53 PM

this is awesome! can you upload the whole album when you record it?

edit: what do you do in the band? guitar?

Gogogonorrhea 10.14.2006 03:24 AM

Cool. Sounds like Lou Barlow trying to sound like Big Black, very cool.

Trasher02 10.14.2006 03:34 AM

It was nice! Cool effects on the guitar!

I wrote this song and play gtr vox and drum machine, alsex played bass and backing vox. We both write songs and sing, and switch from gtr to bass depending on the song.

All of the guitar parts were recorded with that Danelectro French Toast Octave Distortion pedal (with the EHX Poly Chorus on the second solo) - really cool and cheap. Recommended.

Danny Himself 10.14.2006 08:40 AM

Perhaps my EQ is fucked on my speakers.

Great song, though. The vocals (and their mixes) are awesome. UK tourz?

I was just joking. But I showed a friend your myspace page and he was like, "this has the sort of feel of the indie music that is popular now, but that stuff sucks and this is awesome."

Yeah, it's actually designed by the same guy too. I've never compared the two, but you're getting something very similar for way cheaper.

king_buzzo 10.15.2006 03:32 AM

the pedal is awesome dude. i just saw the demo at gearwire.com and it sounded very nice. can you upload something else from your band?

CHOUT 10.15.2006 04:24 AM

I'll see what I can do...we're now trying to finish up a few recordings and figure out how and where to mix the tracks. I've never even thought about making a real album before so this is new to me.

We have new stuff up on our Small White myspace page too: Gett Fucked and Seen In Your Scene are brand new recordings. Link below.
