I haven't been paying attention to local forum politics, just sort of hiding my little head in the non-sonic sounds section of the forum, because this section has started boring me.

But I noticed Intellivision is banned. I take it the obvious reason for it would be for flooding. Right?

Now, I think someone implied he is Atari 2600 or a troll of some other poster from around here trying to act similar to Porkmarras. Is that right? And does Arthritis2600= Intellivision? (I'd assume so, but I could be wrong)

Just for my own information, how do you get banned from here? What are the thresholds of poor taste or judgment one must cross?

If Chabib gets enough complaints you will be banned and your account deleted. It happened with Saturnine and AssBlaster a while back.

1. Be nice to each other - personal abuse is NOT acceptable! People failing to observe this basic tenet will be banned.
2. Try to use the right forum for your topic. This makes it easier for others to find what they're interested in.
3. Keep an open mind and have fun! Any problems, use the contact link at the bottom...
4. Scalpers directing other users to their own Ebay auctions or offering concert tickets at inflated prices are not welcome. Their access rights will be removed and IP addresses will be placed on the banned list without warning.
5. People 'bumping' topics for their own self interest will be warned and subsequently banned.
6. People using offensive avatars will be asked to change them, via the URL being overwritten with said request. Repeat offenders will be moderated, and may subsequently be banned.
7. People 'trolling' or acting in a manner designed to disrupt board activity will be placed on the moderation list and may subsequently be banned.

Agreed. Ultimately, this is a waste of my valuable life. The good thing about trolls is it makes me realise that message boards, while diverting and ocassionally amusing, are actually a compulsive sickness.

usually just the username gets banned, and in this case the whole IP got banned reveiling that atari2600 was INTELLIVISION

Inevitably this is going to sound very rehearsed and corny and is if anything the latter. Here I go:

The dynamics of this forum are quite comparible to the dynamics of much of Sonic Youths output. In one song and even more one album, you will be rushed through the glaring screetch and dischordant howl of a barbed wire fence, thrown about to the grit and burn of the analog mechanics. Then it will part ways with you and a new horizon of buttered skie, chrome hills and lush green will makes itself your sojourn.

You see we all (most) fit and play our part, just as the music does. The question is are you in the mood to listen to that typoe of person give their opinion on the matter. Its not a competition (contrary to the attitudes of some members), its a place where we come to ramble, rant and exchange differing and unique thoughts on matters. The common bond is sonic youth and sometimes I wonder if that has been forgotten.

yes yes, i suppose you are right. i like most people here, for some unexplainable reason. and for the most part we get good laughs. this cesspool is by far better than others i've visited no doubt.

You should go to an Opthamologist. I went to one because my eyes were fucked up and he saved me from going blind.
