So, yeah...

I know it isn't a big deal here, but it is a big deal to me.

I'm gay

I suppose I've known for a while, but I never wanted to accept it. Not that I had a problem with gays, I just couldn't really come to terms with being one. I couldn't deal with the idea of what my friends and family would do, so I just rejected the idea that I was gay, and figured that my attraction to guys was just a phase. But I'm far beyond the possibility of a phase. I've had these feelings for 3 years now and I'm finally starting to accept it.

I know it is cheesy and stupid to come out on a forum, but I got to start somewhere.

k-krack 10.31.2006 10:02 PM

Good for you, I suppose. You gotta start somewhere. 'Good luck' coming out elsewhere!

Prisstina 10.31.2006 10:08 PM

Hey man, good for you.

Cantankerous 10.31.2006 10:27 PM

we love you anyway!

ni'k 10.31.2006 10:29 PM

what is it about this forum? haha.

You rock alex. Fight the good fight. Punch the donut round and true.

k-krack 10.31.2006 10:31 PM

This forum produces gays like some kind of... gay-factory! Thanks to this forum, I have accepted my own "bisexuality." Which doesn't mean just what you'd exepct it to, as I am attracted to the "gender" and not "sex." Either way, I don't see myself dating a boy in the future, but it's not completely ruled out.

Well, I wouldn't rule out a girl if I liked her. I just haven't met (m)any that I'm attracted to.

k-krack 10.31.2006 10:37 PM

I haven't met any guys I'm physically attracted to. (Keyword is met. I'd bone Trent Reznor though, dudes a fox)

From what I've read (back when I was a Vines fan), it is very interesting.

HaydenAsche 10.31.2006 10:55 PM

Alex,

Good for you, man! Remember, you can always talk to me.

*high-fives Stanley Kubrick* Woo, I'm in the club.

It's not a thing to be bothered about, really.

Alex's Trip 10.31.2006 11:37 PM

The only thing that worries me is telling my parents. I won't be doing that for a while. There is a lot of apprehension there.

HaydenAsche 10.31.2006 11:44 PM

I can imagine telling YOUR parents would be incredibly difficult. Tell them when you're capable of living on your own or are living on your own. It'll be easier if they have a fit and don't want to speak to you for a while.

youthoftomorrow 11.01.2006 12:50 AM

best of luck with yr parents.

krastian 11.01.2006 01:28 AM

Keep yr head high, bud!!! Fuck the haters and never forget yr awesomeness!!! Queer Crew 4 lyfe, jigga!!!

alteredcourse 11.01.2006 02:17 AM

Not fair for the female race . coz youre fucken hot .

pokkeherrie 11.01.2006 04:14 AM

wow, good luck man!
i guess coming out must be a difficult step to make, but the most important thing is accepting it for yourself.... others will just have to accept you as you are, although i could imagine telling your parents isn't easy.

terminal pharmacy 11.01.2006 04:42 AM

don't fight it, just do it, it isn't anyones business, good on you

_slavo_ 11.01.2006 05:04 AM

at least you know where it's at.

Trasher02 11.01.2006 05:16 AM

YR GAY OH DEAR GOD NO!

hehe just kidding, very brave of you to tell us I probably wouldn't.
Though It doesn't change my vision of you.

Good night and good luck.

static-harmony 11.01.2006 05:27 AM

Well Alex, don't worry it won't be a big deal afterward once you accept it. I did go through that phase in High School, but I finally came to the conclusion I was gay.

Whoever said that this forum produces more gays than a Madonna Concert is so damn right.

porkmarras 11.01.2006 05:35 AM

Best thing is not to turn into a big deal .Don't forget that it is only your sexuality and not the whole of you personality.Being gay is no more special than being straight.

static-harmony 11.01.2006 05:36 AM

I have to agree with porky on what he just said^^^

jon boy 11.01.2006 05:42 AM

congratulations on coming out. when will you tell your family friends do you think?

static-harmony 11.01.2006 05:43 AM

That will be hard to tell family members, I haven't done that yet, cause I am still not dependable and do need their support. It is hard to tell family members.

static-harmony 11.01.2006 05:55 AM

Who me?

porkmarras 11.01.2006 05:56 AM

The most important thing is not to make a grandiose statement of it,otherwise you'll end up distorting an issue that is simplier(or should be simplified more often) than you think. My mum,my sister and my brothers always told me:'Great, you're gay.Do you want a red carpet to walk on now?We love you the way you are no matter what your sexuality is'.Just make sure that you you are relaxed about the whole thing and things will turn out nicely.

static-harmony 11.01.2006 05:57 AM

My parents are catholics, and somewhat conservatives. I don't think I can't tell them ever.

static-harmony 11.01.2006 05:59 AM

O ok.

static-harmony 11.01.2006 06:03 AM

Yeah some parents can go a little crazy.

my closest people, well one's mother found it out from some letters. other one's they never found out.
but have heard of parents taking their kid to shrink etc. and of one boy's best friend bursting to tears when he was announced that. jeez.

That's exactly the sort of thing that Alex should try to avoid.Let's not forget that some people are not pro or against homosexuality but they are totally like:'What is that?'.

static-harmony 11.01.2006 06:07 AM

I'm glad I live in a major city, because there are so many outlets, unlike small towns where they could ask those types of questions.

king_buzzo 11.01.2006 06:31 AM

good luck :) did you tell your parents?

Glice 11.01.2006 08:28 AM

Wear a condom. Don't become a Queen. Congratulations. Let's never mention your sickness again.

RdTv 11.01.2006 08:57 AM

You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to Glice again.
