Whitney Houston RIP

dead at the age of 48.

the ikara cult 02.11.2012 08:48 PM

Stay off the crack, kids.

gmku 02.11.2012 09:24 PM

People die. Besides, I already knew about this from the news. Can we just have a sticky-note RIP thread to cover the impending death of every famous person?

SuchFriendsAreDangerous 02.11.2012 09:28 PM

"Damn you Bobby Brown, got Whitney on that stuff!!"

If this is for real, God Bless Her Soul, what a loss.. :(

gmku 02.11.2012 09:28 PM

Loss? How so? What has she done in the last 15 years?

I meant of a person in general and also of course her own personal losses over her lifetime culminating in this..

Jesus man, have folks no respect for the dead, former pop icons or not?

gmku 02.11.2012 09:30 PM

Ha ha ha ha. Well, then, there are "losses" every day, right?

gmku 02.11.2012 09:33 PM

It's not like she was shot in front of the Dakota. She died. No doubt due to the abuse she inflicted on her body.

Yes, and all tragedies worth a moment of reflection

"there is a whole in a part of the earth, where the blood pours out at the end of the day, when the usual amount of people have died, sit back and watch, the death and decay.. its a dying world.."

but that is of course what converted me from pure nihilism to monastic nihilism ;)

gmku 02.11.2012 09:36 PM

Whitney Houston's death. What a tragedy. I'm broken up.

Then don't mourn her death. Celebrate it.

SuchFriendsAreDangerous 02.11.2012 09:49 PM

You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to Genteel Death again.

for his and her combined eulogy

and when the night falls, the loneliness calls.. I wanna dance with somebody..

gmku 02.11.2012 09:50 PM

Bittersweet memories
that is all I'm taking with me.
So, goodbye. Please, don't cry.
We both know I'm not what you, you need.

gmku 02.11.2012 09:57 PM

I'm just joshing of course. I mean no real disrespect. I just get tired of seeing the RIP thread. I mean, this stuff is old news by the time anybody posts an RIP thread. And okay, she died. What is the point in an RIP thread? Has anybody here ever talked about her before this, on this forum? And now suddenly we admire her and think about her and want to talk about her?

Look, I know where you're coming from, but really, get off this messageboard mentality and try imagining people who are above it.. I am a fan of hers and used to regularly buy her singles. She wrote some great pop songs. Songs people still play and dance to. I am also a perfectly adjusted human being, and one who doesn't wish misfortune on anyone who doesn't come across as a territorial arsehole. You get the drift. Besides, what are you really complaining about? People on an internet forum not posting about the same old records you can't go beyond?

EVOLghost 02.11.2012 10:42 PM

Whitney Houston......more like HIT-me Houston.

demonrail666 02.11.2012 10:54 PM

EDIT: I agree with Genteel Death.

Pelle 02.12.2012 07:39 AM

You've been gone too long. Jon boy works for tmz now.

gmku 02.12.2012 09:09 AM

Ah... that explains a lot.

In any case, RIP Whitney. So much music, so little time. So sad.

floatingslowly 02.12.2012 09:55 AM

I'm serious. Just wait until the next person dies.

Jon boy will here to bring it to you first.

!@#$%! 02.12.2012 11:11 AM

what a god damn shame, to go from this

to premature corpse.

fucking pillheads!

gmku 02.12.2012 11:32 AM

It won't be Keef. He'll live forever.

tesla69 02.13.2012 02:37 PM

Sony - who made a killing off Michael Jackson's back catalog after he died - raised the cost of Huston's greatest hits online after her death was announced.

like.

demonrail666 02.13.2012 10:01 PM

does the fact that gmku has so-far made more posts in this thread than anyone else qualify as irony?

call me back when you sell 100,000,000 records and perhaps we'll devote a few pages on SYG to your memorial too ;)

Perhaps y'all are just to white to get it, but Whitney Houston was a lot more than tabloid fodder for a lot of people, and she meant a lot to a lot of people, and was one of the few sincerely good and honest people in pop music. God Bless Her Soul..

Genteel Death 02.14.2012 05:38 AM

Grandad becomes really nervous when he sees threads about people dying. I wonder why.

Pelle 02.14.2012 08:06 AM

though, I must say I don't give a shit.

She was a junky and probably had it coming.
I just hope the hope wont stay as long as when Michael Jackson died. That sucked (for people who absolutely don't give a shit).

hipster_bebop_junkie 02.16.2012 06:17 PM

Diamanda Galás wrote a piece about Whitney Houston. The junkie thing subject is touched a bit. Pelle gets his ass kicked and handed back to him.
