Non-alcoholic cold drinks
What's your favourite non-alcoholic cold drink?
Mine: Iced coffee, made black, strong and sweet. |
I like peach or lemon flavoured ice tea.
Sonicl, have you been to Greece by any chance? They love ice coffee. A good ice coffee can be very refreshing in the sun. |
V8 wich is a blend of vegetables and tomato juice.I'm not too keen on sweet beverages unless it's coffee or tea.

Indeed. They give a new meaning, on how to drink coffee. I've never been to Greece, but a friend of mine is greek, and always brings back that special coffee from over there. |
Water. Occassional smoothie or juice.

Greeks are probably the nicest people I've ever met. Smiling, chatting and not giving a fuck whatsoever. |
I've heard that Athens is so polluted by smog, they made a law that only cars with either odd or even numbered numberplates, are allowed to drive in the city limits, on different days. Not both.
|
Water and Guarana, although its hard to find the good stuff (Antarctica brand) where I live.

Guarana's the shit! I love the specific taste it has. Brazilian G, is the best, but difficult to find the right one here. |
Yeah I know it....The best brand is Antarctica followed by Brahma, neither of which are available where I live, supposedly the distributor will cut off certain districts for an unspecified amount of time, the question is why.
|
![]() That's the one! Cool site dedicated to the drink In the old days, my grandma use to bring back the powdered form, from brazil. |

![]() ![]() RdTv, do you remember the jackfruit? I can't find it anywhere in Holland. I just love the multifruit cocktail taste that it has. |
ahh yes...the elusive jackfruit....top three things non alcoholic drinks I miss from Brasil...
1.Guarana- you can't beat that, especially when its freshly bottled 2. Cado de Cano - freshly squeezed sugar kane juice...walk up to a vendor stand and order away, just watch out for the bee's hovering around. 3. Chilled Coconut - nothing quite like a fresh coconut with all the juice, also love to eat the pulpy stuff at the bottom... oh how I miss all of these..... |
I had many of those chilled coconuts on Ipanema beach.
The smooth skinned green ones, not the hairy brown ones. Mmmm. The guy would chop of the top with a bushknife and prepare a cocktail punch on the spot. With or without alcohol. Damn! I miss Brazil. Edit: Ha! Nice avatar!! |
Toddy coffee. Wonderful.
|
sparkling water.
|
hmm... it actually probably is my mother's home-made orangeade (not too sure that orangeade is the right word in english: when i look for a definition of "orangeade", it says it is supposed to be carbonated but my mother's orangeade certainly is not)...
|
cold sparkling water with a splash of orange/grapefruit/blueberry/other juice
|
Cream Soda and Milk. and Black cherry cola
|
Grape juice, apple juice, water, dr. pepper
|
cranberry juice, orange juice, lemonade or coke. although if i'm drinking them i usually mix them with booze anyway.
|
water, orange juice, or, better yet, if you have a trader joe's in your area, pick up some of their spicy cider. incredible, incredible stuff.
|
iced red zinger tea, no sugar. tastes kind of like koolaid with no sugar.
|
