Nickelback ROCKS.

Okay, so throwing rocks at anybody is pretty lame, but this is pretty funny:

Hah!

Danny Himself 09.03.2006 09:28 PM

Hahaha, awesome!

IntoTheGroovey 09.04.2006 12:54 AM

What a douche. Should have hit him in the head.

_slavo_ 09.04.2006 02:11 AM

really funny. whine-ass motherfuckas.

fishmonkey 09.04.2006 06:09 AM

ha ha thats deadly, "you guys wanna hear some rock n roll"

fuck off.

king_buzzo 09.04.2006 06:33 AM

no they do not rock

Glice 09.04.2006 06:57 AM

Meh. I don't like 'em, but I always think it's a cuntish thing to do to throw things at bands, unless they encourage it. I know Nickleback are unmitigated tripe, but that doesn't mean they should be stoned. Just don't go and watch 'em.

king_buzzo 09.04.2006 06:59 AM

ok, lets do this the waynes world way

nickelback ROCKS...NOT!!!!!!!!!

nicfit 09.04.2006 07:30 AM

actually i think that the singer reacted in a very polite way.if you watch closer he's actualy hit in the back of his head ( look at his hair) before saying "see you" and giving the finger while leaving the stage.

_slavo_ 09.04.2006 07:38 AM

that's just cause he's so dumb.

LittlePuppetBoy 09.04.2006 08:36 AM

hmmm.. this reminds me of another story like this, involving another crappy band

Everyneurotic 09.04.2006 09:08 AM

they had it coming, when they force feed a band that sucks so much on to the people, people are bound to react at some point.

well, he might as well be polite, it's how many people against four asswipes?

Fox 09.04.2006 09:10 AM

Same type of video exists for Diam's, a shitty french hip hop singer (woman), they throw plastic plates

Danny Himself 09.04.2006 09:30 AM

On the SY Corporate Ghost dvd, a plastic water bottle hits Kim as she walks offstage at the end of 'Sonic Spiel'. Makes me mad. Thurston doesn't notice, so he's all 'GOD BLESS YOU ALL'.

Silly.

nicfit 09.04.2006 09:40 AM

when i saw them in Ferrara(nurse tour) some fools in the audience threw some plastic water bottles on stage(i think "for fun",not "against the band")kim was a bit pissed (electrocute anyone?),thurston said "as good old bon jovi said, things can get slippery when wet" (or something similar).it was freaking funny.

yeah i agree with you Glice, its was kinda funny but its funnyness mirrored the naffness of the band, i saw a video on youtube lately of plastic bottles of piss been thrown at The Mars Volta at some festival in Oz i think, and i thought to myself.. who goes to a festival.. gets a plastic bottle and angles his dinkie over it (i'm only persuming it was a he) wees in it and throws it at the band??? its mental.
they should just slag em off in the campsite and call their mother's names.

finding nobody 05.24.2007 02:20 PM

http://www.thewebshite.net/nickelback.htm
I was going to make another thread for this

Green Magnesium 05.24.2007 02:34 PM

Haha... I've been to that site before, finding nobody. Good stuff!

As for Nickelback themselves... two of their songs get played over and over again on that Muzak nonsense in the restaurant I now work in. I literally heard both songs 6 times each when I worked an 8 hour shift Saturday. This week I have begun the practice of turning the volume in all of the rooms down to the lowest possible digit whenever they come on... needless to say, no one complains.

Trasher02 05.24.2007 03:44 PM

That was brilliant!

Priceless...
That video really made me happy.

CHOUT 05.24.2007 04:23 PM

wow long gone thread back in the name of Nickelback!!!

I can't believe how similar those songs are, I remember reading a quote from one of the band members defending the similarities.

They probably brought in some sort of scientist to formulate potential hits or some shit.

Richard Pryor on Fire 05.24.2007 04:36 PM

One time my mom was at a hotel and nickelback was their and she ended up having a drink next to them not knowing who they were, they told my mom who they were and that they were on tour here in Detroit, my mom told them she had a son who liked rock music, but she was pretty sure I didn't like them.

pbradley 05.24.2007 07:35 PM

happens to go bands, too.

http://youtube.com/watch?v=Uu9lUbf5GQ0

but they keep playin.

Washing Machine 05.24.2007 07:44 PM

I know its a cliche but Nickelback are one of the worst bands in the world

Plus I will never forgive them for what they said about Radiohead.

CHOUT 05.24.2007 07:49 PM

What did they say about radiohead?

Like in the glorious days of black flag, we should all spit on each other and then throw some punches!

Agreed. Shit bands aren't worth the strength that it takes to find a rock and then project it towards the stage.

pbradley 05.25.2007 12:30 AM

Passive aggresive doesn't get the point across like good ol' aggressive.

It was in a interview with Ian Winwood a few years ago they got all pissed off and said "Do people in England even like Rock music?" and asserted that Radiohead were boring.

He wouldn't know rock if it him him in the head.

sonicl 05.25.2007 10:24 AM

Back at the tail end of the 1980s, I used to go to the Reading Festival, and the throwing of bottles was regular entertainment. One time Meat Loaf was playing and got pissed off about the bottles being thrown at the stage, so he stormed off. Ten minutes later, he stomped back on and yelled into the mic, "Do you want to throw bottles, or do you want to rock and roll?". Well, the comedy gods must have been looking down on us that day, because just as he finished that sentence, a bottle arced up into the air from the crowd, reached its apex, sailed back down stagewards... and hit Mr Loaf square on the head. A truly magical moment :)

Washing Machine 05.25.2007 05:47 PM

I think throwing bottles at a band is extremely rude (and dangerous) but the only way bands get away with it is to grin and bare it. Walking off makes you look like a jackarse. My Chemical Romance dealt with it well last year at reading.

Norma J 05.25.2007 10:22 PM

Walking off is unjustifiable. What about the folk who actually want to see the band? Not to mention you're letting the fuckwits "win" their little lame war.
Apparently Silverchair during Freakshow used toy get alot of bottles etc thrown at them during a set - like every show in the states. The drummer actually had an idea of all three of them playing in plastic domes as a shield. haha. The frontman had to get stitches on a few occasions though.

CHOUT 05.26.2007 02:52 AM

I know, better to assult the audience with your shitty music than just give up and let 'em win!
