In the last few weeks Lee and Steve twitted about it and it looks like Steve, Nels Cline and Aaron Mullan are in the studio!!

hevusa 05.18.2011 09:54 AM

Steve & Kim drum'n'bass record/12inch singles...

Lee solo is gonna be radness. Then Lee, Thurston, J. Mascis and Jim O' will form a harmonizing acoustic/psychedelic jam band ala Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young.

jennthebenn 05.18.2011 12:58 PM

I've said it before, but "Steve Shelley Presents: The Steve Shelley
Experience (featuring Steve Shelley)" is very Steve Shelley, I mean,
overdue.

greedrex 05.21.2011 03:03 AM

woah, w/ Nels Cline = intense gtr action guaranteed.
can't wait.
Hope it's not all acoustic with no drums though. Where's Steve-O?

Is Steve-O going to be on this record?! That sound pretty wild! Better get Johnny Knoxville, too! ;)

Sketches 05.23.2011 10:46 PM

Any word on an estimated release date?

Fantastic news.

RanaldoNecro 05.25.2011 10:00 PM

I think Lee deserves a record like Trees Outside the Academy or Psychic Hearts that gets properly promoted and distributed and is more accessable than some of his solo work. It would be great if he tapped into his folk singer side.

hipster_bebop_junkie 05.26.2011 07:53 PM

Most anticipated record of this year for me.

deflinus 05.26.2011 08:17 PM

^
definitely.

i got a feeling about this Lee character. he's going to do some good work.
a new album and hopefully a tour. fuck, i'm excited

atsonicpark 05.27.2011 02:14 AM

Cannot wait for this.

krastian 06.03.2011 06:24 PM

Pretty psyched to see that John Medeski will be playing on the album. That one kind of came out of left field.

Moshe 06.04.2011 07:08 AM

+ Alan Licht!

Chris Lawrence 07.08.2011 03:39 AM

from SY's facebook:

Lee, Aaron + John Agnello mixing Lee's new record over at sy studio - psyched!

redred 07.22.2011 04:05 AM

man i can't wait.
Will be beatles-ish pop music with noise?
will it be a continuation of the spoken word and minimalism that was East Jesus?
A mixture of both (wouldn't that be awesome)?

either way, I'm there.

SonicBebs 07.22.2011 08:13 AM

i listened to Isolation from Amerillo Ramp this morning and thought "i hope Lee hurries up with his new album"

any news on release dates yet?

blunderbuss 07.22.2011 01:51 PM

Mixing finished July 21.

jennthebenn 07.22.2011 02:55 PM

^^In honor of Pantophobia's birthday, no doubt.

greenlight 07.22.2011 04:03 PM

finaly thread about it. checked here one or couple weeks ago, because of seeing john's tweets about lee's new solo album and find more info on here, but was surprised no thread on here. strange. finaly its here, but same here. little info. most anticipated release at the mom. def.

oh yeah, hallo everyone. long time no see.

EvdWee 07.26.2011 07:01 AM

is jim contributing as well (on bass)?

http://instagr.am/p/IIXim/

SonicBebs 07.26.2011 04:34 PM

that is fucking awsome

i love Jim. If i could be any sy related person i'd be Jim. His trousers man, his fucking trousers...

nicfit 07.26.2011 05:02 PM

All of a sudden I realized I already love this album.

skipvacuum 07.27.2011 04:52 AM

if its been posted my apoligies...but does anyone know who is putting this record (that i can't wait for) out ?

deflinus 07.27.2011 02:03 PM

this album is going to blow all of thurston's solo (song) efforts out of the water..

That's not really saying much considering how weak Thurston's recent releases are.

deflinus 07.28.2011 02:13 AM

psychic hearts and trees were really good.
i just wasn't impressed with his latest release.
i love his noise stuff though.

i have a feeling about this album
i really hope it's done right. jim o'rourke will make sure of that

Mortte Jousimo 07.28.2011 11:14 AM

I think Demolished is Thurston´s best album, altough I like also Psychic, Trees, and 12 string a lot. But I´m also waiting this Lee´s solo!

quite a bold statement. I understand that you probably prefer Lee but calling Thurston's work weak is rediculous

redred 07.30.2011 04:04 AM

I thought Psychic Hearts was better than the actual SY albums they were throwing out at the time..

Partly agreed:
Washing Machine >> Psychic Hearts >= EJSTANS.

Mortte Jousimo 08.01.2011 12:52 AM

Well, I think SY has always been better than Thurston´s solos.

Antantats 08.04.2011 08:13 AM

This is methodically what i needed

I think about i saw these today in well-heeled, they are actually impetuous! But tease no impression of the period cite, repentant! I fully OUT OF those dresses, I give birth to seen them all over the place. If I had the portion (and small change) I would definitely collect one. I relish Megan Fox too, she is my height. I choose I had her masses!
