1988 Kim Interview on Youtube
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YkiRPYf6NEk
Never saw this before. There are TWO parts. Looks like it was just uploaded recently. |
hey, right on! this looks to be the interview from the 'blood in the music' doc, and if the sept 88 date in the description is correct, that answers a lot of questions i had about that documentary (specifically those posed in the latest gear guide update). thanks for sharing!

:) :) :) Drools...
Wow! That footage is great!
One of the most interesting SY related videos I've ever seen. Thanks for sharing! It's directed by Paul Gibson. At least that's what it says on the slate. Could very well be this DP from NYC: http://www.paulgibsondp.com/ |
fucking awesome
keep yr eyes away for I am, in LOVE with KIM G
the guy has what looks like a complete Fugazi show in good quality from 1989. Pretty good stuff...
lovely. thx for sharing.
awesome indeed, is kim being flirtatious with the camera crew there? Either way, hot stuff!
thanks
The same uploader now has the Thurston interview up. Pt. 1 is here. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BZpBe0cyHE4

thurston pt 2 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sj13A0xjE1c
thurston pt 3 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P3Xsxhy-WWM i'm REALLY enjoying these...very cool that this resurfaced after 20+ years...they filmed tons of stuff for that documentary, i hope more is forthcoming! (pt 2 answers my question about the not-drifter in the aforementioned latest gear guide update, which now makes sense in context) |
8/27/88 is the date on the clapper, I agree, what a blast from the past!
so fucking fine....
Thank you for posting this.
Such a cool, calm, intellectual babe.
Awesome! Can't believe these haven't surfaced before.
thanks, she actually looks older there than she does now!
i would totally dig her if i ever met her at that age
WOW, these are amazing! Thanks!
That part where Thurston prank calls Lee "So uh... have we made any money lately?" is hilarious! I think it's also in the Put More Blood into the Music documentary, but it's been ages since I watched that. I also recognised the tapestry with the panther and the two girls at the end of the Thurston vid, although I couldn't remember where from. Then I realised I hadn't actually seen it before, but recognised it from Kim mentioning it somewhere in an interview. It's from the Goo interview that was released on a flexi and is also on the Goo Deluxe CD where she talks about Kool Thing, Patty Hearst and girls inventing punk rock, not England... sometimes I amaze myself. |
