I know a girl from Romania who works as a waitress in Wimpy who told me she used to drink 3 litres of vodka a day for 2 years before she had to give it up. Is that humanly possible? If I drunk that much vodka a day, it would've killed me.

My wife, long distance on phone today, suggested I could add vodka to my hot chocolate (told her this was the only liquor in the apt). It's tasteless, after all, and alcohol is alcohol, she says.

But 3 litres? No. Impossible. She's a liar. That or something is lost in the translation. Maybe a Romanian litre is just a cup.

Maybe she's after sympathy or something. I know she hated her life in Romania and will never go back save to visit her children. Her husband was a mean drunk who'd beat her. So you can't blame her for fleeing to the UK.

I think 3 liters is a bit much, ive seen extreme cases of people drinking a bottle a day and theyd be the kind that is constantly shaking makes no sense and smells like death.

She's an amazing woman. She spent a couple of years in Italy and France before she settled down in England. She is very fluent in Italian and French. She dropped a bombshell on Friday when she told me her husband is visiting her, staying for two weeks. He better not lay a finger on her if drunk, or there'd be Hell to pay.

The branch of Wimpy I frequent is a crazy but wonderful place. The manager is Moroccan. One of the washer-uppers is Greek. The other is half Italian, and one of the other waitresses is Brazilian.

I also asked her if she stopped drinking all that vodka every day on her doctor's advice. She told me she stopped it herself. She clearly realised it wasn't doing her any good. I suspect her husband was behind her 2 litres of vodka a day habit. The bastard. I want to reassure her that all men are not bastards like her husband.

if they were both having 2 bottles of vodka a day it would be hard to know who was beating up who. or even if they would have the strength to do so. sorry if i sound mean but the woman is clearly making up stories.

I should think it would make her want to run away. 2 liters is more reasonable. 3 is possible but not very healthy nor is 2 for that matter.
I accomplished the 3 in one day but I took a nap. Drank one in the morning, slept during the afternoon then got up around 5 and by 4 am had polished of 2 more liters. Southern Comfort as the agent with no mixers to get me sick.

Despite the chivalrous response of the woman's boyfriend, she still dumped him for another fella a couple of months later. :(
