Anybody else just go back to school?
 

I just went back today.
High school is so miserable.
Except for the fact that my English teacher remembers me as "the Pavement guy," after reading an article I wrote about the BtC reissue.

Anyway, so any other people coming back arounf htis time? Hows it going so far?

I start monday.

Not until Sep. 10th.

i just realized that this is the first time 19 years i'm NOT getting ready to go back to school.


holy shit! i'm not sure if i should be happy or not. i kinda miss college.

start the 24th of september. 4th year of college.

Second year out of college. Hopefully the job market will ease up with everyone going back to school.

so...you hope that you can get the jobs that the people that are going to school leave, so that they can go to school and wait for the people that are going to school to leave their jobs, so that they can go to school?

I've been back for a week now. 3rd year of college. From now until midterms and then from midterms and finals...I'll just goof off and hang out with friends. Only 1 one of my classes takes attendance.

not at the moment. maybe next year or the year after. at some stage I really need to get the BA happening so I can start doing post grad stuff. But the TIME and the MONEY good god. All my plans for PHD before 33 have gone down the toilet. Life is a bummer.

I'm doing my mandatory internship in a book publishing company at the moment. I'll have little over week left and after that I'll return to school. Fourth and final year, but I have to get a lot of shit together in order to graduate in time.

i really didn't like school. i'm happy i don't have to go back.

Sure, high school teachers don't have much smarts or imagination. It's easier to remember who you are by giving you a tag like that.

Back to school on Thursday but I've got an exam on Tuesday :(

I have nightmares of being in school again. I've usually forgotten about some important test. Or it's the end of the semester and I realize I haven't been attending some class all semester.

Last night I had a dream about living in the dorm with my dog and a grungy roommate.

School was cake compared to real life.

Do not think for one second that because you go to college and get good grades that when you graduate jobs will be waiting for you. I went to college with people who work at Starbucks now because the feild has too many worker bees and not enough jobs.

It took me 2 years to finally come up with something after I graduated and when I did it was far from what I dreamed about in school.

Be prepared. These days you have to be the best or you ain'y goin nowhere.

Freshman 101: Start dating pre-med and pre-law students, preferably those who are not too idealistic. Better yet, become romantically involved with a med student, preferably one who wants to become a plastic surgeon.

I dream about school every night. I cannot escape it!

Every fucking night! There is always something due..or I am late....I stress as much in dreamland as in real life.

Same here. Could not wait to get out of high school. Wanted college to last forever.

I was very close to dropping out of high school because I was so miserable. Sonic Youth and Bikini Kill got me through life.

However, I actually did pretty well in college. And I loved most moments of it.

I could'nt wait to get out of highschool either. My parents made me pay for everything when I was a teenager so I figured I should have the freedom too.

I moved out with my boyfriend (now my husband) got a 54 hour a week job and started college full time. That was the worst time in my life!

I ended up dropping out for 2 years. I went back to finish up what I started. It took me 10 years to get a 2 year degree cause I had to take care of myself with NO ONE's help but my man who at the time worked at a bagel bakery. We fuckin made it though.

Now when I look back on our high school days it was so much more fun. Skippin school and smokin pot in church parking lots. I would watch him skate while I finished my trig homework in my Grand Marquee. We had no money but we also had no responsibility.

I hated high school more than I hated college, but I hated college a lot.
High school was hell. College merely sucked and left me disillusioned.
I am very grateful to be an Adult, if only in years.

Highschool fucking sucked, as soon as I graduated I was done with school forever! I did a recording workshop kind of thing for 5 weeks, graduated it, but still kinda felt over my head a bit.

High school kicked ass in retrospect, though I really hated it then.

I'll probably say the same thing about college when I'm done.
