Sonic Youth are announcing a special show at the Scala in London, UK on April 27. Special pre-sale tickets to sonicyouth.com fans go on sale April 21st at 9:30AM UK time here. At 10AM on April 21st tickets will be announced + available everywhere – sonicyouth.com, sonic youth myspace + facebook + twitter friends can purchase tickets early if they wish to.

Argh! That's way too soon and close to other stuff to realistically manage. Would it be reasonable to bet that they'll be playing more UK dates later in the year? I don't see anything scheduled for June/July yet. *crosses fingers*

I don't think i'll be able to make this :(, my car is out of action yet again :mad: so i need to spend more money to fix it and i'd have to take at least one day off work and then i need to buy my atp ticket on friday, plus the fact that i spent £130 on record store day. This all adds up to one expensive week.

There has to be more UK dates to come before December, right?

gigsandtours declined my offer for no apparent reason and when i tried again, they were all gone.
as it stands it looks like im gonna havta wait til december.
tho im sure theyl announce some more.
its actually really easy to find out whats going on.
i tried to book em last year (i knew i wasnt gonna get anywhere, but it was worth a shot) and their tour manager emailed back and was like, 'sorry, the guys are playing some dates in america around that time'
before anything had been announced.

Just spoke with people from SeeTickets and GigsAndTours and it's now completely sold out.

I share your annoyance raging_nelly. I was online at 9:30am but there was a problem with the allocation of tickets. I re-submitted but to no avail... sold out in three minutes! Don't fret though because some lovely people bought some tickets for us, probably just in case the event sold out. All we need to do is go on eBay and part with £120+

Really hope the legit fans have a ball though.

fans around here got a 30 minutes head start before the general public. hope they made it.
