Has anyone received an e-mail about this yet? I would most definately LOVE to be there, but I'll be seeing them the day after that. But, I will make sure to listen. On channel "Ethel" 6 p.m. (I think)

Thoughts & opinions?

Yeah. I'd love to be there too, but the last time I crossed the Atlantic to see SY (well, Lee and Thurston doing solo stuff actually) they didn't show up. I ain't risking that again.

I think just the feel of being in a small isolated studio w/ SY would have to be a top 3 greatest moment in ones life. Think about it, that's a different type of atmosphere. One that the fans usually don't get to see.

Was this the Tonic cancelation thing?

It was the John Fahey tribute at Tonic in May 2001. Thankfully Jim O'Rourke and Loren Connors were there and were fantastic.

I crossed the Atlantic to that Whit Out Tonic thing and Thurston didn't show up!

it's going to be great.. only 40 fans allowed in, and i'm going to be one of them! i got my confirmation email today... i'm pretty excited.

Got a mail about it, but I cannot cross the Atlantic to get there...

me and patrick are going to be there! YESSSSSSSSSS!

i remember when we saw sy at maxwells and we thought that was the smallest crowd we'd ever be in to see them...WRONG! this is going to be fucking tremendous.

no cameras or recording equipment allowed though...but still.

XM Radio do a free three day online trial, so you can hear the show by signing up for that a day or so before it is broadcast. Webpage for XM channel "Ethel", on which it is to be broadcast is here.

now just hope that 3day trial works fine and i would need some WaveLab as well, since i had to format my hd. but i'll try to listen to it at least!

is anybody able to listen to xm channel online and record it (i'm going try to sign up for a trial)? is 6p.m. eastern time like 11 p.m gmt (ireland, england)?

My brother left his unit here, so I can just record from that straight into my computer.

there is like x channels on their page, which one is it, hehe?

I also see no mention of this special broadcast on the XM radio site or the Ethel page.

I'll probably tune out soon... i got other things to do than listne to this this this...
