http://www.sonicyouth.com/gossip/showthread.php?t=21384 oh, and there's another one called health - health that I couldn't find, but I didn't look for very long. A band that is the definition of mediocrity. You could do worse I guess but they're definitely nothing special. |
O fuck not another Health thread. They're like one of those bands who seem sorta good for like a month, then you realize they're boring derivative bullshit. They list the Locust as an influence on their website, i thought only My Chemical Romance fans looking for extreme listen to the Locust.
Yeah, what batreleaser said... A band not worth any fuss whatsoever.
I recommend you put your socks back on and stay far away from that shit.
I concur to the last 3 comments on this page.
oooookay :) hahahaha
thanks, will see
Their album "HEALTH" is very good. If you like Liars, you'll definitely love them. I saw them that summer and they were great, they played new songs that seemed really nice.
I can't get into the remix album (HEALTH // DISCO) though, except like, one or two songs |
remix albums in general are pointless.

depends |
im trying to think of a worthwhile remix album...anyone?............oh, oh, oh boredoms-vision recreation newsun...thats the best i can think of
definitely.
the ooioo shock city shokcers vol 2 remixes are great too now that i tihnk about it. |
I released their first two cassettes. I'm not as happy with their new direction though. but they're really nice guys
Mogwai's remix album is good in my opinion, but I think that's the only good remix album I can think of. Not that I know a lot of them though. But I thought that HEALTH // DISCO thingy really sucked
health sucks sucks sucks. enough. this thread must stop. that is unless anyone wants to discuss how stupid that singer with the tight pants and wife beater looks and how much you want to hit him.
^^^hahahaha really objective

front 242s off is pretty good. |
one of the oldest indie remix album
the cure's Mixed Up fascination street lasts for 4 hours |
I saw them half drunk at SXSW and thought they were good.
Making comments about their fashion is stupid. |
Their new single, "Die Slow", is awesome. Mixes perfectly the elements from the eponymous album with the dancy side of the remix album. It's fantastic. I'm seeing them live again this week, can't wait
I saw them a week ago and they were AMAZING live! Before I saw them I wasn't really that enthousiast about their music but holy shit they totally blew me away! I don't understand how you can call them mediocre with all those insane melodies and their variety of sounds.
Don't listen to the rest, you should definately get their debut album which is incredible. |
Yes, they're really awesome. I was really into the first album at some point last year, I used to listen several times a day, now I listen to it less but it still kicks my ass. Seen them last summer live too.
Do they play a lot of new songs? Last year they played like three new songs, which were incredible, I wonder what they're doing now - but I'll figure in five days anyway |
I think they played like 3 to 4 new songs. The new material rocked though!
Die Slow is really really awesome
wonder what they're doing now? ripping off whatever boredoms ripoff bands were doing ten years ago?
so what? i don't give a fuck who they're ripping off. I still like them.
Plus there's nothing Boredoms in their new tracks, so get your facts right. |
Do you expect any band to be totally original, or to be totally original from their first album on? I don't. It seems like they're slowly evolving towards their own sound now, incorporating dance stuff in their compositions. That's fine by me.
And I don't see the point in dissing once more a band you obviously don't like, since you've already posted about them on the first page there. I mean, if you don't like them, why bother to waste time again to say they're "a blatant boredoms ripoff blablabla"? It's not even constructive criticism. I don't see the point |
btw, two new songs:

The sad thing is, they probably won't even sell 66 copies.
11B A PAPER NINJA STAR CONTAINING A GRAM OF 40X SALVIA That's probably the best one, but isn't salvia illegal in some states? |
11B GET!
I want 11L
new health album is a lot better than the last one.. its now registering at around 24.376 on a scale of f# dimished 4th.... honestly its fairly whackjob in the vertical.......dude!
I'm waiting for the proper release date to hear it, but I've heard by different persons it was indeed really good. If the live show I've seen in April (where they played 6 or 7 new songs) are any indication, it should really blow me away
i still cant work them out to be honest..they at times walk the walk but then again they seem to have an accent which doesnt fot their gait too. i think they are in the region of onedia as far as im concerned... i will never be a huge fan but will always agive them a chance..... sort of middling really.... i wish they do their good shit for longer and their shit shit for less times....... im talking thru my arse and i apologise.....actually..i dont! so there! health rules all!!!!
