The World Prefers Obama

I'm not one to give too much weight to opinion polls, but anyway, I thought some of you might find this interesting:

!@#$%! 09.10.2008 02:21 PM

please immigrate and vote

atsonicpark 09.10.2008 02:26 PM

hah.

Rob Instigator 09.10.2008 02:31 PM

it has been 8 years since we have had an articulate president

"There's an old saying in tennessee...It's in Texas, but I think it is in Tenneseee also, that says, 'Fool me once, shame...shame on you....Fool...Fool me twice and...won't get fooled again.'"

sadly, an actual verbatim quote from our Preznit.

pbradley 09.10.2008 03:42 PM

If Palin was included in that poll, she would obviously have swept that shit.

She has foreign policy experience.

Everyneurotic 09.10.2008 11:09 PM

i just want this election shit to be over, i'm sick of all people involve and sick of the u.s. and i'm not a hater for your country. seriously, i constantly lose friends defending you.

DeadDiscoDildo 09.11.2008 12:13 AM

I just want everyone to stop fighting over who's got the most expensive strings. It doesn't matter who you vote for when the points don't matter, our puppet government and puppet president is as meaningful as the performances on whose line is it anyway.

Sit back, smoke a fatty, and watch it burn baby.

davenotdead 09.11.2008 12:14 AM

too bad we dont give a shit about the world

pbradley 09.11.2008 01:50 AM

If I were offered a decently paid job to work for the Obama campaign, I would take it.

That was a badass response to McCaine's bullshit.

France voted for Sarkozy, Itlay for Berlusconi and Britain looks likely to elect a Conservative government come the next election. Maybe a more accurate assessment would be that Europe doesn't like the Right, unless it's a European one.

ew i have C span on right now cuz i was watching the stuff from columbia university yesterday
and fuckign sarah palin is sitting there with her little cone head waffling on about how with each new administration comes the opportunity to do things better...not your administration, bitch! "same shit, different day"

also, i'm sure someone else has noticed that sarah palin is incapable of directly answering a question, is disorganized in her speech...completely unprepared...

actually listening to barack obama speak has made me realise that i need to stop being so fucking selfish and lazy and go help someone. not just give them all my money but actually DO something. i'm going to go read to the blind or knit blankets for hobos or something.

this is going to be a hell of an election

MellySingsDoom 09.12.2008 06:21 AM

Ms Palin was on the radio this morning saying how awesome it was to visit Kuwaiit to visit the troops, and what a life-changing experience it was. My bullshit detector went into overload for several minutes on hearing that.

Cantankers is right (again) - I should get off my lazy arse and do something as well, like volunteer for the Samaritans (UK helpline for desperate/suicidal people) or something.

Cantankerous 09.12.2008 06:29 AM

i just laughed so hard at the new mccain ad

"they dismissed her as 'good looking'"

........

"and she proves them wrong every day"

i love this shit.

MellySingsDoom 09.12.2008 06:35 AM

Roll out the cliche machine boys - we gotta sell this piece of Alaskan ass to the great unwashed!

"They dismissed her as "good looking"" - Her? Good looking? I don't think so.

"And she proves them wrong every day" - by being an even bigger fuckmuppet than anyone would have suspected.

Look out Palin - Satan's behind you!

hahaha, yes thats right. I forget about that :)
but I would say that nobody really liked the republican pres over the democratics. I dunno why I said that, it kinda feels that way

demonrail666 09.12.2008 09:04 AM

I think to be fair that the American Right is different from the European one - just as their Left isn't the same as ours. Our Right seems to put less emphasis on things like abortion and religious fundamentalism, just as our Left has more ties with socialism/communism than theirs. Although the rise of parties like New Labour in the UK are putting paid to that distinction at a rate of knots.
