So are you happy today? Then tell me why?

h8kurdt 05.30.2006 06:39 AM

Do you not find yourself getting hideously distracted by this damn place? Typing a few words on the coursework then scuttling of to here to check new post over and over again?......well I do so ner

fishmonkey 06.02.2006 04:24 AM

its a seriously sunny day in Ireland too! fuckin Ninja.. plus my boss is out for the whole morning, happy daze

truncated 06.02.2006 04:46 AM

Where again are you in Ireland, fishmonkey?

h8kurdt 06.02.2006 04:48 AM

There's only Dublin and belfast in Ireland, God everyone knows that

truncated 06.02.2006 04:53 AM

There are "in between" places no one tells you about. If you're foreign, they trap you on double-decker buses, cart you off the ass-end of nowhere, drop you off in the depths of night, and leave you to suffer a long, slow death at the hands of gypsies (should I say knackers?) trying to pawn dead flowers off on you for 3 euro. The last thing you hear as you slip into oblivion are Irish lads making strange aviary references to your gender.

Odd place, that is.

Hehe. Like the Americans thinking London or Liverpool (thank you very much Beatles)is the only place in England and that anyone who does live in Liverpool knows/likes the beatles.

truncated 06.02.2006 05:03 AM

Jesus H, they hung around Galway like packs of wolves, waiting til everyone left the pub to assault them with various shit for sale.

Then a lesbian in a hardware store overcharged me for a voltage adapter because she knew I was American. I was only there for two days before the entire town knew that a Yank had come to stay, and going out was like an interview (this was in Clane, which is a REALLY small town). I had a hard time convincing a few of them that being from Chicago and having tattoos did not necessarily mean you were in a gang.

They were lovely though, really. People in Ireland, as a general rule, are infinitely nicer and more hospitable than Americans. I miss it.

Yep, about next door to Naas. The people there were wonderful.

Where do you plan on running off to?

candymoan 06.02.2006 05:43 AM

i'm confused..

so, truncated is an american.. living in the states..
she stays up all night, drinking coffee..
she's on this board very frequently, except when she's jogging..

truncated, if you don't mind me asking - what do you do for a living?

h8kurdt 06.02.2006 05:44 AM

I dunno I heard it was sinking (or is that somewhere else)

Why do you wanna move away? If you don't mind me asking that is.

Yes, in fact, it has, at least temporarily. Apologies.

Doesn't Ireland have some kind of contract with Australia regarding work visas and all that? Why do you want to leave, anyhow?

i dunno, i suppose i've lived in Ireland all my 27 years now and i feel there is a time coming when i just wanna go, i cant explain it really but i just foresee a good portion of my life should be somewhere else. this is in no way a kind of "self finding" mission, where as i take off all around the planet in some mad holy grail search, i know exactly who i am and what i'm about and dont need to rack up a million air miles to find out, its more a realisation of the fact that theres a whole load of "world" right outside your door.

h8kurdt 06.02.2006 06:09 AM

Well good for you man and "may all your dreams come true"

Yes, I'm an American. I lived in Ireland for a short time a few years back.

No, I don't sleep much. But most of my time on the board is in the mornings before I go jogging, and during work, when I shouldn't be on here.

I am a 'community events organizer.' So I throw festivals 'n that.

Fishmonkey is a rebellious Irishman who, embittered by his parents' poor choice of childhood pet, longs to flee his painful memories and take up residence in Australia. He will spend the majority of his sun-filled days fleecing tourists and seducing Australian beach bunnies with his musical Irish accent.

Oh, how I do love those accents.

I don't know the results yet, but i think it went well, I dont think I'm gonna fail. I just had to study hard. "Study Hard", somebody should make a song with that name, sort of a home-work anthem:D

Thanks for asking man

truncated 06.02.2006 08:16 AM

Maths? Bless your geek heart, that subject is next to impossible. Best of luck.

candymoan 06.02.2006 08:22 AM

Rupert 'Stiles' Stilinski 06.02.2006 11:32 AM

No one could be happier than I am today!

It's the last day of school, faculty luncheon... I'm moving to France in three months and can leave this old life behind. No responsibility but reading and writing for three months! (And learning French)

And I have a date with a beautful girl that's a really cool actress tonight.

Everything's coming up Milhouse!
