top fugazi?

sorry i'm sure this has been investigated thoroughly elsewhere but hey..

batreleaser 06.23.2008 08:07 AM

the argument is amazing.

PAULYBEE2656 06.23.2008 08:26 AM

yeah.. the arguement then probably instrument then i go to sleep...

never been a big fan.

Toilet & Bowels 06.23.2008 08:36 AM

why isn't end hits in the poll?

therealglenstyler 06.23.2008 08:50 AM

sorry, was doing it from memory and don't know how to edit polls once their up. is it any good?

Toilet & Bowels 06.23.2008 08:54 AM

it's got some good songs on it

atsonicpark 06.23.2008 09:07 AM

pretty sure we've had this thread.

argument.

batreleaser 06.23.2008 09:31 AM

like this:
1. arguement
2. repeater
3. red medicine
4. steady diet of nothing
5. instrument
6. 13 songs
7. in on the kill taker

i like all their albums. theyre great musicians, great songwriters, and put together a sound that consisted of a nice mix of hard rock guitars, dub basslines, and hardcore rythyms. ian and guys voices are both awesome too i think. never understood how someone could hate fugazi. not liking is fine, but to HATE them is pretty fucked up. consistent, constantly were evolving, and 5-10 dollar shows, cant beat it.

atsonicpark 06.23.2008 09:36 AM

yeah, what he said, though I'd rate their albums like this:

1. argument
2. repeater
3. steady diet of nothing
4. in on the killtaker
5. end hits
6. red medicine
7. instrument
8. 13 songs

therealglenstyler 06.23.2008 09:36 AM

yeah like i say, sorry for the repeat, I was thinking about them cuz i just got that final blood brothers album for cheap the other day and loved it but was also "holy shit this sounds exactly like a bunch of guys who love guy picciotto's songs a whole lot" and then i was reading the liner notes and no less than guy picciotto was the producer. Which had to have been pritty weird.

atsonicpark 06.23.2008 09:38 AM

heheh, well I hate the blood brothers more than anything and don't think they sound anything like fugazi except the occassional weird riffs. but glad you like it man!

A similar thing happened to me. My friend turned me onto the blood brothers, that was when i really into Fugazi and i always tried to get him to like em. I went over his house one day and he had this magazine cutout pinned up on his wall (hes one of those poster freaks). I started reading the article and it was talking about young machete and the whole thing was like an interview with the producer: Guy Piciotto! I said hoooly shiiiit. I remember Guy saying something like, "this is the kinda of music that i imagine in my head everyday"

Everyneurotic 06.23.2008 10:58 PM

considering they are a joke band and a mere shadow of their former bands...

in on the kill taker
then repeater
then the argument
then red medicine
then i got lazy and stopped listening to the rest of their albums.

ohhh, yeah, 13 songs blows ass.

atsonicpark 06.24.2008 12:24 AM

yeah 13 songs really is terrible. it's so boring! i bought it used many years ago when i was in middle school for $3 and I was like "fuck yeah! fugazi! kurt cobain's shoe!" it sucked.

uhler 06.24.2008 12:34 AM

13 songs was great when i was younger, but now it's just okay. i still think suggestion is their best song though.

Everyneurotic 06.24.2008 12:41 AM

waiting room is the best song in 13 songs and it's a joke song.

i heard that song so many times that if i never heard that song again that would be fine with me.

atsonicpark 06.24.2008 12:43 AM

WAH OH

Pax Americana 06.24.2008 01:08 AM

Shit man, my favorite Fugazi album changes a lot. I really do enjoy all of them. I guess my overall favorite is probably Repeater. Then maybe Red Medicine.

acousticrock87 06.24.2008 01:11 AM

Repeater. I don't get the Arguement at all. I can't get through it.

Then again, usually their CDs only have like 3 good songs. Including Repeater. But damn, are they fucking good songs.

Everyneurotic 06.24.2008 01:14 AM

i probably agree with uhler...actually "waiting room" is an amazing bassline, that's it.

by the way, fugazi is one of my favorite joke bands of all time.
