We know where to make the reservations and when. But when they say we'll be told on how to pick up the tickets, does this mean it will have to be in person? Or is it something we can just print out online?

P.S Anyone want to guess what they'll play and for how long?

"Tickets are required and space is limited. The tickets are free and will be available by reservation on this website starting at noon on Thursday, June 12. There's a strict limit of 2 per person. You will need to pick up your reserved tickets at one of the specified Downtown locations and times BEFORE July 4th, so please be prepared to do so. The times and locations for pickup will be given to you when you reserve your tickets."

Thats sucks. I'm coming down from Boston on the 3rd and wont be in NYC till around 8pm. Does this mean I'm fucked?

The City is obsessed with being in total control at all times. Probably liability related. I don't think they know what they're doing, honestly.

I'm guessing this show is geared for 'locals' thus the requirements to show up in person and get the tix.

Ya. It does suck. I'm not even sure if I can go those certin days to pick them up. I would glady pay up to $60 instead of going down to NYC just to pick up the tix. Jeez do they realize some people work fulltime?

Goddamn whores. I have my reservation... but now I have to clear away plans for the 21st so we can drive the 5 hours into the city to pick up tickets at "The Green Tent." It's like a scavenger hunt.

Shitty thing is... my boyfriend's sister LIVES in the city. I did not realize that you needed a photo ID until after I booked the tickets.

yeah i have to go straight from the airport to where ever shithole i have to pick up the tickets on the 24th. what shitty reservation dates. i thought they were going to be available anytime before the 4th.

I already had TWO sets booked. One under mine... and my bf booked one under his. We're quite the dumb pair and didn't latch on until afterward. By the time he went back to grab one under his sis's name, the tix were gone! At least more people got a chance despite our bumbling. It's nobody's fault but our own. He's already promised to pay for the gas :P

and i feel bad for everyone that doesn't live in the area as it is a pain in the butt to get the tix. I'm just lucky that it's a short train ride.

I suspect all these hoops we have to go through to get them will weed people out...it used to be so much easier you just hired a bum to stand on line for you to get the free tickets...

No wonder the thing "sold" out so damn quickly... everyone on this board got like 3 pairs of tickets.

Can u believe that July 4th tickets are going for about $200 a piece on ebay? I dont think they go for that much for their other shows. Anyone know why so much? I know it's in NYC but you people think they will play new material?

The show is supposed to start at 3:30, but it says 7:00 on their myspace. Anyone have any insight?

I think when you post shows on myspace the time defaults at like 7 or 8pm unless you specify so whoever posted the show just probably didnt bother to change it. Show is definitely set to start at 3:30 as of now.

I'm guessing Feelies are starting at 3:30 and the Youth will begin at a later time.

Since this isn't a tour i would expect something other than the 'average' show. Since they are mainly working on the new album (which is why they aren't touring) I would expect new material at the show.

It's been 2 years since they've had new material. They're totally due to debut new music. What better place than their hometown. Good luck to you guys going. I just saw them in Nashville and they did nothing new. :( But still a fun show ! :)

I know! I find it disgusting actually; to sell something that was free to some for prices in the hundreds. I had mentioned this to my boyfriend... and he gave me the good old "it's capitalism" speech. I'm not saying that I argue with the fundamentals of capitalism... but at the same time, I don't have to agree with every example of it.
