ethan and isabella seem unusally hi... weird since thats 2 of the names i was considering for my kids

✌➬ 05.12.2008 11:50 PM

I actually like the name Matthew.

pbradley 05.12.2008 11:51 PM

Those are nice enough. Better than the weird early 00's names.

Also Sophia has always been a name I considered. I think it would be a wise choice.

Also Arthur for a boy as that was my grandfather's. I think it sounds quite noble.

✌➬ 05.12.2008 11:54 PM

My name fell at the 90 spot when I was born.

tw2113 05.13.2008 12:27 AM

Anngella 05.13.2008 12:27 AM

Fuck that. Let's just say my name has hardly gotten into the 50's. So indie.

StevOK 05.13.2008 12:46 AM

Mine was 25th when I was born. Now it's like 97th.

Toilet & Bowels 05.13.2008 03:04 AM

pbradley 05.13.2008 03:40 AM

All very Victorian... or Elizabethan... or just English in general.

I don't know. You limeys hopefully get what I mean.

Rosanna is not in the top 1000 female names for any year of birth in the last 15 years.

I always liked names like Micah, Jonah, Ira, and Elijah. Although i plan to adopt my kids and give them seriously hippie names.

I'm astounded by some of the names people give heir kids. Essence? MESSIAH? Heaven?

Where are the R2D2s? The Master-Chiefs? The Jihads? WHY AREN'T PEOPLE CALLING KIDS DUBYA?

Well in English speaking countries, Julian is more prevalent, but still, it is a very unpopular name in America. Kids used to ask me if my name was a girl's name or call me Jules Verne in elementary school.

But I very rarely run into anyone named Julian or Julien.

HECKLER SPRAY 05.13.2008 12:27 PM

^^ Yeah, it sound too much Latin for the Yankees.

SpectralJulianIsNotDead 05.13.2008 01:59 PM

Yeah. Most American names are biblical names. Not too many latin, greek, germanic, or other pagan names.

Though when I went to grade school, there was a kid named Leif who's older brother was named Thor.

✌➬ 05.13.2008 01:59 PM

I like the name Maya.

Silent Dan Speaks 05.13.2008 02:12 PM

Dammit, there are already way too many Daniels in the world.

pantophobia 05.13.2008 03:00 PM

i fear for something, not sure what.....

after hitting it's peak in 1881 at 121th place, Eli had been dropping to a abysmal 706th place in 1964

yet it rebounded to it's highest level since the Arthur administration in 2007 with a 130 place showing

ZEROpumpkins 05.14.2008 04:05 AM

I really can't stand the names Isabella or Emma

EDIT: Sorry EMMAh, but my name is Marty, so we're even :)

jon boy 05.14.2008 04:37 AM

My daugters name is very unique, I hope it never winds up as a top 10. I have never known anyone with her name. And until recently, my name was very uncommon, which I loved. But, now it seems to be popular. No one spells it like I do though, except some European pet supply company.

i know her from my school dayzzzzzzz but shes quite abit younger than i am

Alex's Trip 05.14.2008 08:19 AM

My name is getting shafted the recognition it deserves because votes are being split between Alex and Alexander.
