It's an alright cover. I give those young kids props for choosing such a bold song to cover, most likely in front of a clueless audience.

it's not that bad. i wish the instruments were louder. i think if they practiced the song more, it would have been better and maybe she would've remembered the words and not stumbled so much.

Wasn't really as bad as you seem to think.
The vocals were a bit wishy-washy, namely the "making the nature scenenenenNEEEEEEEEEEEEE," but the music was pretty well done.

btw, at the start of the vid there's a caption "concert practice" , guess that explains why the singer is not much ready to sing it properly. it's not that bad, and they must be pretty young too, wich is a plus. I say keep on rockin in the free world.

Haha! My band once covered 100% at a gig. We were so wasted I spent most of the time jumping against the wall and rolling around o the floor molesting a drumstick... so it could be worse.

Needless to say, we cleared the room of any skinny jean waring kids... the few who were left loved us tho!

I did an incredibly noisey version of inhuman once. It was probably awful.

i think people and bands who do sonic youth covers (or any covers for that matter) their way and not like how the band they're covering does it is what i would rather listen to. why would you want to hear some band made up of randos playing teenage riot the same way as sonic youth. you know it's going to suck big ones. that's why i think this cover is pretty good. it's the best a young band will get without trying to sound exactly like the original.
