best songs which start with '1.2.3 4!!!'
I say Holland, 1945.
and also some Ramones songs. yeah, go? |
Have you heard the live Ramones record It's Alive? They start almost every song with 1,2,3,4. It's insane.
There's Roadrunner by the Modern Lovers, but I think it starts off more like, "1,2,3,4,5,6..." |
Does Warsaw by Joy Division count too?
|
Mommy Can I Go Out and Kill Tonight?-the Misfits
|
Apparently The Gerogerigegege has a song that starts with the usual "1,2,3,4!" but then proceeds to the sound of a man taking a shit.
I haven't heard it though. |
any song by the gerogerigegege.
|
pretty much all ramones tracks i guess. a lota hardcore bands did it live.
|
yeah every ramones song
|
i like on the last beck album, where a song starts with
"one, two you know what to do.." |
one two three free
|
there's a video of big black and to start the song passing complexion, steve albini says, "1 2 1 2 fuck you. it's from the pigpile video.

I was going to say the same thing. |

actually now i think about he says that before a few songs. |
"Field Day Jitters" by Tripping Daisy starts out with a little random drumming, then someone clears their throat and says, "Let's do it!...1,2,3,4". Pretty awesome song.

Sonic Youth - Queen Anne Chair
This track's really great, it deserves more attention imo |
That's not my favorite Stooges song but the intro to Shake appeal rocks.
|
"free four" - pink floyd
the title is actually a pun on 1234 fascist cops - the kids (no not johnny depp's band, they're some punk band from northern europe somewhere, maybe like denmark) |

Yeah that's an awesome way to start an album. And I've heard Bright Eyes go "one, two, six six six!!". |
Speaking of Bright Eyes, the first track on I'm Wide Awake, It's Morning counts off after his tale, 1,2, 1,2,3,4.

The whole lead up to that song is great, I laughed my head off in disbelief when I heard it. He's the greatest. |
He is something, for sure.
|
Numerous Pavement B-sides. Off the top of my head, a Range Life outtake.
|

Ah yes. "Okay... a-one... two... one two three four *range life*" |
Besides the obvious It's Alive album by the Ramones:
The Clash The Saints Beat On The Brat - Sonic Youth |
"chinese rocks" - johnny thunders & the heartbreakers
i think it does anyway, i'm not in the mood to listen to LAMF right now. |
Chinese Rocks - The Heartbreakers (With the Richard Hell vocal, from the Richard Hell best of).
|
the richard hell vocal is terrible.
|
1234
i Saw Her Standing There
the Beatles |
im pretty sure that there aer some songs on pink flag that have a count off, and anything on pink flag is great
|
Yeah Yeah Yeahs - "Man"
Not that it's a good song, it has a count off though |

Subhumans Drugs of Youth
1 2 3 4 go Get away from the window The D.S. are outside The little packets in our pockets Stuff we gotta hide Sitting in a corner of a disco Mouth stuck in a bag It's hard to fake the high intake It turns your brain real bad Crush a barb put it in a syringe Stick it in your arm Let the feeling crawl to your head It won't do you no harm Sniffing sulfate up my nose Doing it for a joke It makes the world spin so fast Things go better with co |
I'm sure there's a few Guided by Voices songs that start with a count in.
|
Ooo Ooo possibly the greatest 1,2,3,4 starting to a song would be Poughkeepsie by Devendra Banhart.
|
all good i'm sure but ramones its alive has to be the one for me.
|
bad news- bad news.... 1,2,3,4,5,6,7...........
