Post a picture of your current favorite beer

Mine changes from time to time. Right now I'm into this stuff by Flying Dog called Gonzo Imperial Porter. 9.3 % ALC/VOL, and pretty tasty.

fugazifan 10.23.2007 03:13 PM

my current and all time favorite beer

Rebellion Brewery used to be my local brewery.
This is a delicious brew.

(Crikey, it is also a rather large picture)

Okay, I'm now feeling a little discouraged. Please, people, support your great American microbrewers! There are lots of them out there--Flying Dog, Three Floyds, Rogue. I'll even count Sierra Nevada and Sam Adams, if you make me. The point is, there's a lot of great beer being made right here in this country by small brewers. Try them.

Except I can't cause I didn't spread it around enough.

Did you know that there are some people out there who do not reside in the United States?
Some of them on this very bored.

cryptowonderdruginvogue 10.23.2007 03:53 PM

You don't say?

gmku 10.23.2007 04:01 PM

Clean as a whistle thru a thistle, brotha.

Rob Instigator 10.23.2007 04:07 PM

hey gmku, I just started drinking alcohol a year ago (due to alcohiol allergy) after stopping around 13 years ago when I turned 21.

I can only have one beer a day or else my allergy kicks in (terrible hives, itching swelling and mad heat)

my all time favorite is YOUNG's DOUBLE CHOCOLATE STOUT but that shit is heavy!

my favorite drink to get at bars and such is a snakebite, which for those who do not know (like me a year ago) is a glass half filled with pear cider and half filled with guiness draught

I had this yesterday (due to the Polish bartender's recommendation) and was quite surprised how deliciously it tasted:

Much better than the coffee-bean-tasting Guiness, I'd say.

Anngella 10.23.2007 05:23 PM

Because I'm young and lame and I've never had real beer that I actually didn't spit out at first sip,

It's funny how beer travels, isn't it? I'm surprised that the Smiths does well, but not surprised at how Guiness doesn't at all. It's the cliche of all beer drinking cliches, but Guiness doesn't taste right outside of Ireland.

Round these parts, Smiths is about the last option of beers for me, short of a decent lager or wheat ale. I'm incredibly lucky that there's quite a big trend for decent beer - although that could well be because I generally drink in old man pubs.

I think I had cream soda once and I thought it was really gross.

gmku 10.24.2007 05:12 PM

girlgun 10.24.2007 05:16 PM

Rob Instigator 10.24.2007 05:26 PM

cryptowonderdruginvogue 10.24.2007 05:30 PM

I Love Cream Soda!!!!!!!!

atari 2600 10.24.2007 08:11 PM

i used to drink some a&w & barq's cream soda every now and then years ago
that one posted is probably better, but i've never tried it

rob's gettin superfreaky haha

a name like 'oyster stout' might run me off, glice, but i trust it's good stout
wonder what would provoke them to include 'oyster' in the name

i've seen that budweiser/clamato thing in stores
looks frightening
