Gigs you're going to in near future

So what concerts are you all looking forward to?

Today I'll go to see The Locust, missed them when they played here last year, so i'm gonna take my chance this year. I hope they'll be good.
Next shows will be Damo Suzuki feat. Mord, Monno (that will be a blast, they are so good), Tigrova Mast and last but not least Qui feat. David Yow.

14-Nov-07 UK Brighton Engine Room
15-Nov-07 UK Sheffield Corporation (w/ Jesu)
16-Nov-07 UK Glasgow Oran Mor (w/ Jesu)
17-Nov-07 UK Leeds Cockpit (w/ Jesu)
19-Nov-07 UK Bristol Cooler (w/ Jesu)
20-Nov-07 UK London Scala (w/ Jesu)

Part of me is tempted, but another part reminds me that Jesu were boring when I saw them live before.

West Coast USA people are highly encouraged to check out the Acid Mothers Guru Guru tour coming through right now. I saw them a few days ago and they were incredible; everything I love in a freakout psych power trio. Mani is in his mid-60s and is as athletic a drummer as he ever was.

SYRFox 09.10.2007 02:11 PM

If the show happen to really exist, I'm going to see Liars in October

HUMCRUSH (Oslo, Norway
)
With Plutonium Farmers and Night Viking

Emo's Inside

Monday September 10

10pm $6-$8

603 Red River Austin, TX 78701

12pm Humcrush (Oslo, Norway)
Rune grammofon recording artists, and creative masters of their instruments, Humcrush are treating Austinites on their first US tour, only hitting 3 cities including Austin! Humcrush is made up of Supersilent keyboardist Ståle Storløkken and Food drummer Thomas Strønen.
Humcrush's debut received rave reviews across the line of influential international magazines, many of which expressed relief and joy in hearing the superb musicianship of the two.
Humcrush is chockfull of astonishingly vigorous interplay at the same time as it assimilates the influence of oriental theatre music, techno, krautrock and free jazz in a whirlwind processional that's much more than the sum of its parts. (EJ Magazine)

-----------------------

Not sure what to expect, but I does like me some supersilent.

Kyohan 09.10.2007 03:26 PM

Whitehouse at the end of September, Rufus Wainwright and the Boredoms in October and ATP in December. Should keep me going for the rest of the year!
BTW, Weller is a genius. I will accept no argument on this subject.

sonicl 09.10.2007 04:10 PM

To my list I now add:

Mono + Jesu
Boredoms + Michael Gira
Lydia Lunch

I was going to go to see Grouper as well, but something else has come up, so I can't.

k-krack 09.10.2007 04:15 PM

Fuck, nice sonicl!
Outta town:
Do Make Say Think the day before my birthday!!!
The Locust hopefully in November!!!

And locally:
The Doers are coming October 23 (fucking yeeeeh!)...
A few pop/punk bands (Attack In Black... if you've ever heard of em... not my cuppa tea, BUT) are playing with my best friend's band, who actually fucking rule, so I'm going to that. The 22 of this month.

Kyohan 09.10.2007 04:15 PM

I'm seriously hoping Gira ends up playing with the Boredoms in Ireland too, but its unlikely.
