Oh fuck, I guess I don't like it at all. The Rosetta track published previously on Blank Editions was way way better, and far more interesting.

What's the deal with Chelsea?

I like the song! I wasn't expecting the big thump and guitar swirls when that intro was playing. Nice kick in the ass. And the change up at the 6:00 mark has a pretty classic SY sound to it. Of course, compared to what it would sound like with a Sonic Youth rhythm section and accompanying guitar line from Lee, it sounds a bit ham-fisted.

But there's no point in wishing it was an SY song played by SY. It's not, but for what it is — a Thurston Moore (Band?) song with a nice scope and some seriously heavy rawk type stuff — it's pretty awesome.

I haven't heard the version you're talking about. Can you post a link?

typical Thurston's strumming. I enjoy this track actually. Intro and Outro are nice and the other instrumental part with solo is pretty heavy.

She's been denied medical care.4 She's been denied access to her own lawyers.5 She's been severely punished for petty infractions.6

But this is an appalling new low.

In reference to the sound of the song, I also hear the references noted already... and the long minimal intro, interlude, and outro remind me of Pyschic Hearts b-side/Male Slut 7" track - "The Church Should Be For the Outcasts - Not The Church that Casts People Out" but Chelsea's Kiss has a more sublime melody.

I'm realizing my relationship with Ween Forum is party in the front and SYG is business in the back. I had very determined reasons to be here so I am working to curb my immaturity. So have Grace for Grievance please.

Yeah Manning betrayed his compatriots but not his country. I've known from being digitally waterboarded 1000-1500 times in 8 months by CSIS while creating and spreading a massive amount of political propaganda that good intentions don't confer leniency. The military is built on the same discipline because situations are live or die.

If Chelsea Manning were released too early I'm sure he'd be torturously assassinated within 6 months. He signed up for military prison and school of hard knocks, it's the safest place for him.

Thurston prophecies some really epic things for the guy. If he doesn't kill himself against all odds he's going to come out like Nelson Mandela. Tough love man, he asked for it, he could have just beat up his father like I said and had a normal life. He's gonna be fine
