They really should realise 'Gila Monster Jamboree' on DVD too....

That's good news, especially if they double the length with additional material to fit the format, as they are often wont to do.

They probably have tapes and tapes of killer shit from the 80s piled up.

I have a VHS copy of the Screaming Fields video...And...its just not that good. IMO they should stick to the Deluxe audio re-issues.

i love the screaming fields video. i put it on dvd for m'self til the official dvd release. the "death valley" vid, "addicted to love," fucking "silver rocket," etc etc etc. soooo good.

I think that The Year Punk Broke needs to be released on DVD before anything else.

go talk to courtney love and get her to allow the un-released nirvana footage to be used at not too high a price. she has bene holding up the DVD release of this for years now.

What happened to that EVOL tour movie thing? And what was it actually? I remember there being a mesage on the home page where the band was asking people to send their recordings of the EVOL tour to them. I had just gotten into Sonic Youth so I don't rmember correctly.

Well this is the one thing I really do hold against Courtney. Any so-called artist would recogize the importance of this film being released. Its a brilliant film and an extreamly important musical, historical document.

sonic youth/geffen, or whoever is putting out the DVD wo0uld have to pay rioyalties to courtney to license any songs that were not used in the original VHS release, and to re-license the songs that were for the re-issue on DVD. It being Nirvana, the cost is prohibitive.

I remember seeing a vhs in Japan called the Goo i left behind which i think was videos for each song on the album,but i ended up buying Screaming Fields..instead,would love to see them both on dvd,the Evol tour sounds interesting.

I have that Goo video and it is made up of videos for all the songs done on the album.

"That Goo video" makes up 50-ish% of the Corporate Ghost DVD.

There's a fantastic live version of "Brother James" on that tape at the very end, when credits are rolling. Also, Love the video for Macbeth.
