i was just watching tv before i went to bed and she was on with what im guessing is a new song..now i have never taken avril seriously, but i think she often thought she was serious, and 'punk' and all that other shit..but this song she has just released

I adore Avril. I'm not going to criticise Jon Boy, I know he's got good taste, but most people criticising her have no appreciation of decent pop, or anything 'outside of the box' as it were. I'm not going to defend my taste (anyone doing so hasn't got the point yet), but she's absolutely superlative in the world of grown-up pop.

i'll say it again: i don't like her look, i don't like her image, but i love her songs (until this one), she's very pretty, no doubt about it, but, unlike other pop stars who are better to look at than to listen to, avril has some damn awesome poppy songs.
