Same thing just happened to me. Damned parents, anyway. It was a conspiracy. I kept telling them they were the crazy ones, calling me all paranoid and stuff. I swear, the whole world is out to get me.

I went to see a psychologist, but I was uncomfortable round him and uninspired to say much to him, so I called it off. When my mom found out she was the one who went insane rly. I just couldn't see him making my life all flowers and sausages.

One time, I was into Glassjaw (I know, I know... it was back in 2000 when I was 14)... and I copied lyrics of theirs into this notebook of mine about gold and red liquids... my mom found the notebook after snooping in my room and she thought I was huffing liquid gold furniture polish... I also said something in the notebook about only having a few things left to do in life before I die (which I've since done most of) and she thought I was saying I was going to do a few things.. then kill myself.

So, she admitted me into BHC, which is "Behavioural Health Care, a sort of detention center/mental institution-type place for people under 18. It was terrible. I was sitting there with people who actually did drugs and tried to kill themselves, and ... well ... yeah. I kinda just sat there for a few days until my mom realized how stupid it was to have me put there. So ,she took me out. Heh.

One thing, though: Man, that place had great food!

I'm sitting at home now listening to Modest Mouse. I've been working an assload. I have two jobs now, Target and a coffee shop. I work 7-3:30 M-F at Target and a few nights a week at the coffee shop. I'm trying to get enough to move to Germany for a year. Should be fun.

I was on a 72 hour police hold and my parents wouldn't take me out when they told me I wasn't a danger to myself or others an hour into the stay. It fucking blew.

You can get into a mental institution if you feel like it by saying "I can hear someone saying "BUMP" in my head". You should get discharged later if you stop faking it. There was an article and everything

it's turning out to be both kinds-- "private" meaning businesses, not individuals, who are often pathetic cheapskates even when they are rich.

A police hold isn't 72 hours.
In minnesota, a police hold is indefinite, and ends when you see a doctor. It's pretty meaningless, and it's often released within half an hour.
A 72 hour hold is a pre-committment hold that gives the people involved with committment enought time to try and get you committed. Only a doctor can put you on a 72 hour hold.
You should try and get some help.
That's serious business.
Don't ruin the rest of your life; If your not sick, play the game for a little while, and get them off your tail.
