Hello Marolo. I wonder if you're interesed in this documentary about the work of the BBC Radiophonic Workshop (it's in seven parts on youtube - the link is for part one, the others are indexed at the side): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WrdrrbQjtk8 |
excelente trabalho. bem vindo ao fσrum.
Wow. Your sheer effort is admirable. I'll give that a listen. Thanks in advance.
We've had some fucking good first posts in our time, but that has to be the best ever. Thanks!
jeez, where did u come from. most impressive entry since poopins!
nice work indeed |
Yes, I concur. Best first post ever. Really looking forward to giving this a listen.
wow, the track listing for that mix looks amazing
Wecome, and thanks for that colossal list of goodies.
wow! thanks for posting and thanks for the mix.
thats the quickest rep gain i think i ever saw.
That's.. impressively educational.
Cheers man. :D |
nice! this makes me think of the anthology of noise compilation on sub rosa. kuuuuudos!
this could be incredible-- if not incredulous--- so far it just sounds suspicious--- just sounds, noises, aimless chants chatting up high frequencies and possibly a metal bridge bending in an earthquake (over a body of water)-- my computer, being shit, chops it providing an otherwise missign sense of rhythm-- does it now qualify as music thanks to -skih-skih-skih-skih-
I would like to ask Marolo HOW he put this together?
This is fantastic! Thanks alot, Marolo.
this is great. tis is fucking great! time to split this mother into 2 to fit on cdrs and have on loop in my car for those long journeys to nowhere!
marolo- come the hell back and be at one with the blue people! |
Thats some good stuff but what about bands like DNA, James Chance, And
Glenn Branca? |
Quote:
the former two aren't noise and there's no rule that said he should or shouldn't include glenn branca (although strictly speaking he's not noise either). i can't believe you ingrates complaining about this, that or the other being missing, or that it's "sounds suspicious" because it's not musical enough for you (it's noise you half-wit) when this guy has taken the trouble to post this for no other reason than he thought we might like it. |
amazing. thanks for this.

WTF? Amazing !!!!
Bump for its eye candy value.
Hi everyone! Sorry for taking so much time to pop back in. Wow, I'm amazed at all the positive response - thank you! As you can imagine, I put a lot of effort into this so it's nice to see people appreciating it.
Sure, there are millions of artists I'd like to have included, but there's only so much you can fit in two hours. I did try to make it as diverse as possible though. Some segments of the mix were recorded with my decks/CDJ and others were assembled with a sequencer. Thanks again for listening, I have some other mixes (totally different styles)that I'll post later ;) |

This is the single best finishing sentence in posting history. Read and evolve. |

is there any way that this could be cut up into individual files/songs and uploaded via winRAR? |
You should've include "Sonic Youth - Mieux: De Corrosion" but hey, it's a very good thing anyway
