He's the best of the rapper-actors. Yes, I do know he's been in other films aswell; sorry if I missed your favourite, which I almost certainly have if past experience is anything to go by.

I haven't seen all of these, so I don't have much to say about some of them. Anyway, I really like both Trespass (a neglected film if ever there was one) and Three Kings, so I'm thinking things through.

Boyz 'n' the Hood was a decent film. I haven't seen any of the Friday ones, nor this xXx thingy.

Boyz'n da hood was a great movie, but i voted Friday because it is such an incredible comdey, chock full of subtle-ness (i'm pretty sure i just spelled that wrong) and cinematic whachacallit, not so much the in your face, get the joke, get the joke mentallity that the sequels mired under. All of his movies since then are pretty formulaic, but i did enjoy the one where he has to drive the kids around and the first Barbershop was decent, too.

Friday is okay for laffs and Three Kings is decent though.

I've gone for Trespass, although Three Kings is a fine effort too. Boyz n The Hood would be my third choice.

is there anyone even in his league? I prefer Ice-T actually, but then again i love SVU, his film choices though have been suspect though (he was in fucking breakin 2 electric boogaloo)

Ice-T was in my choice, Trespass, alongside Cube.

As a side note, does anyone know if Rakim has ever done any acting?

ice cube is one of my favorite rappers of all time. when he hooked up with the bomb squad, it was amazing. to bad his awesomeness didn't translate that well to films.
