Ah, this is true. My work allergies are acting up, that's my excuse.

Pissed off! Retitling a car is a serious pain in the ass.

floatingslowly 07.22.2009 09:16 PM

^^^ gg traded in her last car about a year ago. a few months back, we got a notice that it had been abandoned up in Tulsa. it came with a notice that if we didn't pay, it was going to be sold. so much for title changes!

it's more of an eye-rolling than actual open laughter. I suppose that anything that has to do with "outer-space" is looked at as science fiction if you were born prior to 1940 (as most people in congress seem to be).

it's one of those things that I've had to resign myself over. my only worry now is not being able to live long enough to say "I fucking told you so".

I suppose it'll be about the same as 9/11. I spent the last 5 years ranting about everyone's apparent blindness to bin ladin.

ship o' fools imo.

floatingslowly 07.22.2009 09:19 PM

everyone's going to think we're butthole vampires now.

My house is getting renovated. It sucks to be here. I have toilets in the hallway and everything.. ugh

Sonic Youth 37 07.22.2009 09:40 PM

Sounds like a killer, crypto-esque party!

dirty bunny 07.22.2009 09:50 PM

Making a mix CD is fun.

Sonic Youth 37 07.22.2009 09:57 PM

I still have to choose 3 or 4 more songs and finalize the track list for my mixtape.

dirty bunny 07.22.2009 10:05 PM

I haven't made a mix tape in a long time. I think I have some cassettes I could use too, but I don't have any decent players.

Sonic Youth 37 07.22.2009 10:07 PM

I use a crummy boombox. It's not the best, but the tapes seem to turn out OK.

dirty bunny 07.22.2009 10:09 PM

OK so what's the point over doing a mixtape versus a mix CD? unskippable tracks? novelty factor?

Sonic Youth 37 07.22.2009 10:17 PM

Novelty factor mostly and the fact that depending on the on the length of the tape, you can have contrasting 30-45 minute sides. I tend to make them mostly for friends as kind of gifts due to the time/planning/artwork involved and not just taking 4 minutes to burn a mix off Itunes.

dirty bunny 07.22.2009 10:25 PM

Cool idea. I do find the possible length of CDs can be rather daunting when making mixes. 80 mins is way longer than your average album.

Maybe I will have to try a mixtape :)

Sonic Youth 37 07.22.2009 10:31 PM

I go with 90 minute tapes and it can be difficult at times. I usually start with a theme or idea then work from there. Like a tape I made for the swaps here dealt with prisms and colors.
