I never have and never will live in colonial/colonized Brooklyn. I actually hadn't even visited Williamsburg in over a year or so until recently, twice, when I went on two separate dates there. One was too much of a hipster for me to be into her, and the other was too much of a working professional for me to be into her. Although I did sleep with her within four hours of meeting her. And we were both sober! I don't know why I'm telling you this.

there's one bar in williamsburg that i really like. they make the most delicious frozen margaritas. seriously, i've never had better. plus they are only $5 for a huge fucking glass.

The professional. The hipster was really cool despite being a hipster, but she was also way into me. She called me all of the time. And she was like five, six years older than me, in her early thirties... I think she wanted something serious. Which scared me off.

oh trust me, me neither. i'm not really a huge fan of bars in general though. i'd rather get shit faced with my friends in a place where i don't have to scream to have a conversation. my friend's friend's band from bmore booked a gig in williamsburg a few years ago and i wound up discovering that bar. it almost made up for the rest of that neighboorhood. almost. ....well no, not really .

I do most of my drinking outside of bars. With friends, or at work. I actually do most of my drinking at work these days. You should see my stack of whiskey bottles.
