tell me your thoughts on the space elevator. i've been considering it as an intermediary stage in shooting nuclear waste into the sun. since nuclear energy is esential for energy independence but nobody wants to keep the waste. however, rocket launching from the earth's surface is not without risks.

fuck, it's friday night and i'm stuck at home-- pizza delivery was for dinner. moving is HARD. finally got my internet connected at the end of the evening, no more stealing from the neighbors.

fuck no. the sun is a fusion reactor. it's more like the perfect garbage incinerator.

ps- we could throw in people too.

pbradley 02.23.2008 02:10 AM

I wish we could study the sun a bit more so that we aren't happening to throw something off by adding foreign elements. Remember, a thing can't be burnt into nothingness, just something else.

thank you, i didn't take the sun into consideration...that's just too weird though. and you know eventually, whether it happens within my lifetime or not we are going to end up firing our trash into space because the earth WILL become a gigantic landfill if we don't burn to a crisp and/or freeze to death first because of global warming.

matter cannot be created, nor destroyed...only recycled
so whatever we are firing into the sun isn't just going POOF!...it's going somewhere and there has got to be some repercussions from that.

perhaps it has evolved into not so much of a hiatus but rather "i'll get off my ass once in awhile and go to work"
